Great host. Beautiful, if someone remote, location. Close to Abbey and National park. Some decent dining options, but not every night. Not on water, but short drives.
If you go off the beaten path in Ireland, it will take you much longer to get there. If you are tall, you will need to walk around hunched a bit not to hit your head, particularly in the upstairs bedrooms.

Bei Anreise steckte der Schlüssel in der Haustür. Die Besitzer haben ihr Haus auf dem gleichen Grundstück und waren vor Ort.
Wir wurden empfangen mit frisch gebackenen Scones und Ann Marie zeigte uns das Chalet.
Es war SEHR sauber und super ausgestattet. Es fehlte uns an nichts.
Der Kontakt mit den Besitzern war sehr herzlich und wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt.
Die Lage war für uns super, um zu baden und Landschaft und Kultur zu entdecken.
Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

Kleiner Nachtrag. Meiner Meinung nach ist das Chalet aufgrund der sehr schmalen Treppe nicht geeignet für Kinder unter 6 Jahren oder für bewegungseingeschränkte Personen. Meine 70jährige Schwiegermama kam gut zurecht :-)

Ann Marie est une hôtesse très attentionnée, merci encore à elle : Idées de balades, lieux de musique live dans les pubs, match de football gaélique,...
Maison très bien équipée et super bien située, séjour trop court...
Seul petit manque qu'on a oublié de lui signaler : pas d'essoreuse à salades ! La salade était donc comme le temps : humide 😉

- Très bonne communication avec Ann Marie, la propriétaire
- Accueil chaleureux : dès qu'Ann Marie nous a vu arriver, elle est venue à notre rencontre avec un pain « soda bread » et 6 scones, tout cela fait exprès à notre attention ::o)
- Réactivité : cafetière Nespresso en panne le matin, réparée le PM et opérationnelle le lendemain !
- Équipement complet (par ex. une cafetière Nespresso + une cafetière à piston « de secours » qui a été la bienvenue)
- 3 motos peuvent se garer facilement sur la partie bétonnée a côté de la maison (et il y a aussi de la place pour plusieurs voitures); la maison étant bien en retrait de la route, aucune crainte à avoir !
- Proximité (à 4 km) de la jolie plage de Moyrus (photo 32)
- Quelques commerces essentiels à Carna : station-service (avec coin épicerie), pub-restaurant.
- Indéniablement, le gros point noir est l’escalier pour monter au 1er étage : étroit et en colimaçon, il ne convient pas aux personnes avec une mobilité difficile. Y monter une grande valise chargée est impossible seul et très difficile à 2
- pas de douche à l’étage : la "bathroom" à l'étage ne comporte en fait qu'un lavabo et des toilettes et il n'y a donc que deux douches en tout, situées au rez-de-chaussée.
- la salle à manger/cuisine est un peu exiguë quand 6 adultes logent ensemble.
Amélioration possible : un support à torchons à la cuisine.
Info : il est beaucoup plus commode d’arriver de jour pour repérer le panneau « Teach 31 » (« Gîte 31 ») au bord de la route !
