Up Over Head

The cottage is really lovely. The heating was switched on all day and night, but you had control over the heaters to switch and and off at your leisure. The place is very characterful with lively beams and stone walls. The sofas are really comfortable and there is a dish washer and washing machine and hot water on demand. The only noise I heard were the birds singing and the odd moo from the cows. Absolutely amazing place to stay to recharge your batteries.amazung walks and beaches nearby and the lighthouse is just down the road too. The owners are absolutely lovely and make you feel very welcome and have us plenty of places worth visiting. everything you need to enjoy your stat is supplied and so we were able to enjoy cooking some great food too. The local shop is a walk of about 15 mins or 3 min drive away and is good enough to get most things you might need. They are dog friendly, which is really great for us. The location. Is perfect for driving to many different locations,so is a perfect base for getting around without having to drive too long. Do not be put off my any negative reviews,as this concerned me at first, but iit really was a fantastic stay and I did not want to leave and have no negative feed back to offer. The rough track road leading to the manor farm is a bit of rough ride, but take it slow and enjoy it as part of the charm of staying in such a wonderful place.

There is nothing bad to say other than I didn't like having to leave this place.

The location was lovely, quiet and secluded. The house, the cottage was attached to, was beautiful with the interesting history.

The towels need upgrading (old, stained and bleached). The wardrobe needs airing as it smelled musty. Many of the outbuilding were in a process of sad decay.

The warm welcome and help when asked for. Amazing hosts with an amazing place to stay. I unfortunately had to cut my stay by a day but it is simply perfect
