About this house rental
We have just carried out major renovation work: the charm, comfort and authenticity of the house are respected and even more enhanced.
In the big house you will find
- a large living room with mezzanine with a large terrace (possibility to have meals outside)
- a pleasant traditional kitchen for cooking with large worktops and a relaxing/dining area overlooking the village
- a large dining room (12 people) in a vaulted cellar completely redone (former donkey)
- a shower room / laundry room with washing machine and dryer
- 1 master bedroom in the form of a suite with a queen size bed, private bathroom, private living room, private terrace and cot.
- 1 bedroom with king size bed or 2 single beds and private bathroom with bathtub
- 1 bedroom with a trundle bed for a queen size bed or 2 single beds, with an en-suite bathroom that can be shared with the children's room
- 1 children's bedroom with 3 single beds with shared bathroom
- 1 bedroom with queensize bed on the lowest floor offering a very appreciable freshness - with private shower room and toilet one floor above
The house has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 5 toilets and can accommodate up to 10 people.
Even if we have more beds, we do not want to rent the house for a capacity of more than 10 people.
From the terrace of the master bedroom, you enjoy a 180° view of Gordes, Joucas, Roussillon, Saignon, Bonnieux, Lacoste and the Luberon chain.
In the pool area that has just been restored, you can swim laps in a magnificent 14m long vintage mosaic pool, relax on the deckchairs of the sunbed, read a book in the shade of the olive tree in the outdoor lounge, have lunch under the vine – all in total autonomy from the big house thanks to the brand new fully equipped kitchen. A barbecue and a plancha are also at your disposal.
The house had been completely renovated in 2026, while retaining the charm of the old and the stones. The house, built within the ramparts of the castle of Goult, still has parts of the fifteenth century and even some foundations of the twelfth century. The dining room in particular is a vestige of the old donkey and you can still see the well through which the peasants let the wheat pass through to feed them. In the downstairs room, there is also an old oil well that was used to store the precious Provençal liquid.
Our house is alive all year round because we go there very regularly: it is therefore a very well equipped and comfortable residence: all the rooms have been equipped with Sofitel hotel bedding, the kitchens are perfectly equipped, you will find games, books, magazines, comics, music speakers. But sorry: we don't have a TV – the region is too beautiful...
