Serene and Private Lake House

My sister and I stayed at this property for a week. It is a beautiful place, very clean and a great location on Seymour Lake. The views are great! We enjoyed watching the sea planes taking off and landing and we even had Trumpet Swabs come up into the yard one evening! The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. The owner provided different kinds of coffee, ground and k-cups. We had a different kind every evening. All the furniture was comfortable and there were plenty of blankets for snuggling up. We also really enjoyed the corner stove that provided nice ambiance and warmth. We had a wonderful time in this home!

First off, let me say that this is an absolutely gorgeous property. However, there were several issues with our stay. I will list the pros and cons and let you decide. Pros: Gorgeous, huge home, serene, secluded, and relaxing. Cons: We were never sent the confirmation information. I had to contact the property manager. Code given was incorrect. Had to call again for correct information. Upon arrival found that home had not been cleaned. Manager said cleaner was sick and did not receive message until after our arrival. Manager came out to change bed sheets, but did no other cleaning or sanitization. Garbage was not lined, counters were not wiped, fridge was dirty, and later found dirty towels stuffed the under sink cabinet. We loved the place after we cleaned it.

House was clean spacious and had everything we needed! Location on the lake was perfect! Check in was a bit chaotic because the door code didn’t work and I had a hard time getting in touch with the manager because it’s was late. VRBO customer service was of very little help so I am appreciative that the manager contacted me after I sent him a few online messages. Wish we could have stayed longer as it was so peaceful one we were in the house!
