About this castle / palace rental
Only for 2 persons maximum you will stay on the first floor in large bedroom whith Queen Bed ,private bathroom, breakfast included, kitchen, dining room, salon ,WIFI.
Jacuzzi, garden with grill pavilion, petanque court are shared with others guests.
There is a boat docked in the back, ready to take you to uninhabited islands, mangroves & virgin beaches ( but departures depends of the tide )
The public beach of Puntarenas is 400 yards from our front door ( lot of restaurants specialized in fish and sea food )Near the ferry you could find Balneario with swimming pool , child activities and restaurants.

The Hosts, Michael and Elisabeth, were lovely people and did everything to make our stay work, given the situation that we encountered.Unfortunately the listing we booked was not what was presented to us at the time of check in, but the Hosts were agile and accommodated us in appropriate alternatives for the 2 nights we stayed in Puntarenas. I believe the listings for their property have since been updated and the situation for future travelers should be fixed. A few things to note (being a Host myself I am very specific with my filters and what I look for):- This is NOT a private, entire home, listing. This is a Room or Shared Space listing. The owners live in the house as well. The Owners/Hosts are very lovely and were a pleasure to talk with. - The listing shows Breakfast Included, but that was not the case for our stay. Not offered or attempted.All that being said, would I stay here again, YES. It was a beautiful house and a lovely experience. Some fine details need to be worked out, but still a good place to stay in Puntarenas.
