In the bedroom, you’ll find a comfortable double bed that guarantees restful nights. There’s also a small sleeper sofa, so guests can stay over comfortably from time to time. The apartment’s quiet location creates a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for couples, families with small children, or two travelers who value privacy.

The Borgwardt House is situated in a prime location in the popular Baltic Sea resort of Göhren, just a few steps from the picturesque high shore and the impressive cliffs. Originally built in 1890 in the charming seaside resort style, the building combines historic charm with modern comfort. In 2003, the house underwent extensive renovation, during which many of the original stylistic elements were lovingly preserved. In the spring of 2022, the facade received a fresh coat of paint, giving the house a well-maintained and inviting appearance.

The comfortable vacation apartments at Haus Borgwardt offer everything you need for a relaxing vacation on the Baltic Sea. In addition to free Wi-Fi, guests have access to a private parking space right next to the building, which is not visible from the street. This way, you can enjoy your days in the fresh Baltic Sea air and then unwind in the stylish apartments.

In Göhren, in addition to the town center with its lively shopping street and numerous restaurants and shops, the kilometer-long Bernstein Promenade and the popular Göhren Beach. Here you can rent beach chairs and attend festivals, concerts, and shows at the Kurmuschel, which offer a pleasant change of pace from lounging in the sun. If you follow the promenade, it leads you to the neighboring Baltic Sea resorts of Baabe and Sellin. In Baabe, you can treat yourself to a well-deserved break with a coffee or a slice of homemade cake at one of the many cafés near the beach. If you continue toward Sellin, you’ll come across the 400-meter-long pier, one of the island’s most famous landmarks.

We also recommend a ride on the “Rasender Roland,” which runs from the small train station in Göhren all the way to Binz and Putbus. On a nostalgic ride aboard the over 120-year-old steam locomotive, you’ll discover the island’s diverse and colorful natural landscape. In addition to the vast fields and grassy landscapes, the Granitz forests are particularly fascinating. Hidden among the tall treetops, mystical lakes, and unspoiled trails lies the Granitz Hunting Lodge. From the castle’s towers, you can enjoy a panoramic view of half of Rügen.

At the end of the ride, you’ll arrive in the old princely town of Putbus. The “White City” was built nearly 200 years ago and is still characterized today by its old, white buildings. The old castle park, now home to fallow deer and red deer, offers the perfect setting for long walks with its numerous paths. The theater, which hosts performances year-round and has gained international renown, is also worth a visit.

As you can see, Göhren and the surrounding area have much more to offer than just the fine sandy beach.
