About this house rental
Home Run Trail is located in Northstar's Mountainside community, situated just below the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. The residence is a true ski-in/ski-out (weather permitting) experience - strap on your skis or board and ski out directly from your back patio. Enjoy après ski surrounding your private fire pit or relax in your very own hot tub. Only a short shuttle or walk (walk only suggested during summer) to the Ritz-Carlton to enjoy an evening drink, a day at the spa, or fine dining in one of the many Ritz-Carlton restaurants. From the Ritz-Carlton, take a gondola ride to the vibrant Village at Northstar where there are shops, restaurants, skating rink, and often après live music.
The townhome features an open layout with three bedrooms each with private en-suite bathroom, an upper-level loft area, and media room. The home is wonderful for entertaining with a gourmet kitchen and high-end appliances, large great room with fireplace and wet bar. There is a dining table for ten, breakfast bar seating for three, and a large second floor deck off of the dining area.
To top it off, guests enjoy access to the private homeowner's amenities located at the Tree House, which includes a community gathering place complete with an outdoor saline pool, hot tub, fitness facility, lounge, game room, and outdoor summer sport court. Trailside offers endless outdoor adventures steps away and the perfect place for a relaxing Tahoe vacation.

- A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. A pet fee of $50/night will be charged for up to 2 dogs. No cats or other pets permitted.
- The maximum number of cars allowed are 2 in the driveway plus 2 in the garage. Parking on the street is not permitted.
- Please note that this is a ski-in/ski-out residence only when weather permits. We do not offer discounts/refunds for lack of snow.
- This residence does not have A/C.
- Please note that check-in time for arrivals on December 26 - January 3 and February 13 - 20 is 5:00pm.

Excellent location with a short ski down to the closest lift. We enjoyed the hot tub in the backyard and the proximity to the Ritz Carlton. The home was beautifully decorated and a great place to spend a week!

This is a beautiful true ski-in/out property very accurately described and would have been a perfect 10 if not for the following issues:- Despite not being too cold for 7,000 feet (20-35 outside) the radiant system was not able to raise/maintain the temperature over 65 degrees even after days of being set to 72. After our request for addressing the issue, promptly the second day, the housekeeping brought us some portable heaters and between those and the fireplace we managed.- Detailed directions on how to use the TV and fireplace remote controllers would be appreciated by the guest. The home uses Nest temperature controllers and am familiar with those but maybe other would need directions for those as well.- A texting/messaging capability directly from inside the host app, setting expectations when a response should be expected, would also be very welcome.- Networking equipment on the floor of the ski room where guests drop their wet ski gear is a disaster waiting to happen. I told the children to be careful and did not happen for us but I highly recommend to place them in a more appropriate location.
