Added another dimension to a really enjoyable visit.

The room is charming and quirky with all the facilities you would expect in a B&B and the added sense of fun from staying underground. Fresh breakfast croissants and bread delivered anonymously in the morning to the porch area. Great coffee and home made jam in the fridge. Wonderful atmosphere and comfy bed. A short walk to Monet house and garden which was fascinating.

Dehumidifier unit a little noisy. Outside door hinge needs repair but wasn’t a problem since inside door secure.

One night stay to visit Monet gardens and home.

Great, funky, almost like a cave room. Incredibly old building renovated to accommodate 21st century needs. Minemal but good breakfast, best part was warm bagettes delivered to the door at 8 AM. Comfy bed, clean, every inch of space used well for small area. The room is right in the middle of all the Girveny Monet neighborhood. We never got back into our car (free parking) until it was time to leave.

Parking is a long walk from the room. No disabled accessability.Not a good place for eldery, disabled, privacy seeking people. No personal contact with owner.

It smelt a little damp and dusty but this is to be expected since it is below ground in an old cellar.

This is a very unique place with nice touches and a very comfy bed. It seemed to be newly renovated

It pretty much consisted of 2 crescents, which were delecious, and a smal loaf of bread. We expected a little more than that, but she did provide oat milk for the coffee.

The key was in a key box, but the lock was very touchy and at first we couldn't get in at all, but with much giggling it finally worked and the door locked ever time we went out, so it kept happening. The host was not responsive in helping us with the problem. It smelled a little musty, but that might be expected as it is a renovated cellar.

Enjoyable Stay in Giverny!

We had a pleasant stay for one night at Sous la Glycine - very charming & cosy with all you need. We enjoyed our visit to Giverny - Claude Monet's garden is so beautiful, it was also great to stay in the main street for our visit.

The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too flat - two plumper pillows would be better. The shower tray moves under your feet, seems safe though, otherwise all good.

Great location and cool!

Quirky and full of character, it was wonderful to walk into this room and find the thick, ancient stone walls provided a cool haven from the oppressive heat of the day. It was also great to wake up to a fresh warm baguette and croissants left by our host. Location was amazing for Monets garden and all the sights of Giverny. Everything was a short stroll away. Perfect!

As beautiful as Monet’s garden!

Very easy lock box and Emma was there to greet us. The location of this property is superb, right in the village centre and perfect for a morning visit to Monet’s garden. We were a short queue and entered the garden at 9.40am. Parking is easy, free on the Main Street, but if busy use a large village car park and move your car nearer at 6pm. The breakfast is superb! Fresh hot bread and croissants delivered to the door at a requested time, buttery croissants, the best I have ever tasted in all my years travelling to France! Homemade jam, butter, milk, orange juice, water and yoghurt all ready in the fridge and real coffee. The property is really quaint and so charming, well designed, immaculate and spacious, perfect for two people. It is a real treat so beautifully thought out and planned and has a separate loo.In our opinion this property was outstanding! In the evening when a lot of the visitors have left it is idyllic to sit outside with a glass of wine, so quiet and like a different place. A lovely village to explore and a superb engineering museum that is amazing! A great stay, thank you!

Charming character accommodation in the cellar of a property with access to the main but quiet street of Giverney. Adapted in a rural rustic style, the accommodation is comfortable with every convenience. Very convenient for Monet’s Garden but out of the crowded tourist area.

Cozy apartment in the main street of Giverny, self check-in procedure is convenient and user friendly. Host has been helpful before the arrival, fresh croissants and baguette have been delivered for breakfast in the early morning. Clean and well equipped, toilet is small but still ok. Free parking is available on a walking distance, Monet house&garden are just 5' by foot.

So happy this was our choose

Excellent location, and wonderful support (we locked the keys in). Photo is very realistic. I wish I had brought slippers with me, as I’m not used to tile floors. My husband needed gluten free that the kindly, and well accommodated. In the morning warm, yes warm baguette and croissants were delivered to the door. The hot water tank did a bit of gurgling in the night but it was not an issue. The room heats well.

I would have liked a small fan, that may have been there. I didn’t look for it.

Chambre in a vaulted cellar.

Great idea in a seasonally popular place. We visited in March, when attractions were unfortunately closed. Authentic, simple, country renovation, without fuss. Not possible to cook. Home-made touches, fabulous jam. GOOD EXPERIENCE. Lovely host close-by with baguettte for breakfast.

Cold floor and door uninsulated, Heater was too small to heat the room.

Enjoyable stay

If I were to visit again I would stay in Giverny-vernon beside the train station as there is an early train around 9.50am and the first shuttle out if Giverny town where gardens are is at 10.30am so this delayed us and we missed connection trains. However if you have a car then no problem.

ressenti très négatif dans cet endroit

très déçue de l'établissement . Au point que j'ai changé d'établissement pour un autre endroit à Giverny , les 2 dernières nuits et ce malgré les frais occasionnés. A améliorer !! l' humidité réduite par un déshumidificateur très très bruyant et l'odeur masquée par des bâtonnets de parfum (malsain pour la santé ) Pas de possibilités d'ouvrir une fenêtre pour aérer sinon laisser la porte ouverte . Salle de bain minuscule , sans intimité ( même si on est seul) Difficile d'avoir un contact avec l'hébergeur sauf pour venir me trouver dans l'autre établissement pour réclamer les clés que j'avais pourtant remises dans le boîtier et....insinuer que je ne les avais pas remises puisque pas trouvées dans le boîtier !!?? Je n'ai pas aimé les commentaires de cette personne : " Vous êtes spéciale ou bizarre ." Rapport qualité / prix : Nul Refus de communiquer via l'office de tourisme de Giverny

Das Besondere, Außergewöhnliche ist es, was uns gefallen hat. Ein kleiner Keller, der so charmant als Unterkunft einlädt. Alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Morgens hingen Baguette und Croissant an der Tür, Marmelade, Milch, Orangensaft und Joghurt standen im Kühlschrank. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Bis zum Haus von Claude Monet ist es nicht weit. Abends konnten wir am kleinen Tisch vor der Tür gut draußen sitzen. Es hat uns sehr gefallen. Vielen lieben Dank.

Camera ideale per visita ai giardini di Monet

La posizione fantastica nella via dei giardini di Monet da visitare al mattino presto per evitare la folla. Colazione completa con pane e croissant freschi portati dall'host al mattino con simpatica borsa in tela per baguette.

La camera è situata sotto il livello della strada, forse era un magazzino o una cantina e quando si entra la prima volta si sente odore di umidità (c'e' un deumidificatore che mitiga) inoltre non c'è privacy per il wc perchè la porta non è chiusa ed è dietro il letto.
