Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by the owner, who was very friendly and kind. We were lucky to be able to use a parking spot right next to the accommodation. If we had needed to go to the parking lot outside the town, it would have been much more inconvenient.

We were also the first guests to try the breakfast service – really good! Since we were the only ones, it created a friendly atmosphere with the owners. The food was tasty, fresh, and the value for money excellent (€11 per person). The town of Karlštejn turned out to be very quiet, maybe too much so (our stay was from September 10 to 15, 2025). During the low season, most restaurants close by 6:30 p.m., so having a car is essential. However, several aspects of the accommodation did not match the listing: Lack of comfort and modern equipment (not as shown in the photos). No washing machine, although it was mentioned. Bathroom poorly designed: a small tub with faucets on one side and the drain control on the other, plus a handheld shower without a proper holder at standing height (making it impossible to shower normally). The photos in the listing do not reflect the reality. The two apartments in the building should absolutely be distinguished more clearly. No blackout in the bedrooms (photo taken at 7 a.m.). The bench used as a sofa is very uncomfortable. A proper sofa and a TV would be a real plus, especially for rainy evenings. Overall, the value for money was disappointing: the accommodation is overpriced by about €100–150 compared to what it actually offers.
