The Studio

The place was cosy and clean. The host was very friendly and understanding. They don't fuss about check-in and check-out times (very understanding). A/C room, hot water showers, a small kitchen with utensils, microwave and a mini fridge. It was like staying at home. The breakfast they provided was very clean, good portions and tasty. The place is very close to the beach,supermarkets and restaurants.(Uber eats also possible). Overall a nice place and we recommend it to anyone. P s - They provide different breakfasts but we couldn't capture them. And they ask what time and what we prefer.

We experienced a few power cuts even during night. But not long ones.

Such a comfortable and central place to stay if you are in Wadduwa. Champica is an awesome host who is so kind and understanding. If ever I am in this area again and looking for accommodation I wont go past the Studio. The outside lawn/garden too is lovely and the greenery is very pleasant. I would say one of the highlights is the breakfast. You can choose from the menu of about 5-6 options and the food is so delicious. The cooked meal is also accompanied with a glass of juice and a fruit platter. I always looked forward to the breakfast as it was so tasty! I forgot to add a couple of other aspects of the Studio as I was a bit jet-lagged when I wrote the initial review. That is , how clean its kept by Champica , the large modern bathroom/toilet and the spaciousness of the whole unit. The Studio is a hidden Gem and I wish Champica the very best!!

I didnt mind the heat too much as I am used to it but on certain days when it was exceptionally hot I would have liked it if air-conditioning was available. The property is by Galle Road which is quite busy. Again, I didnt mind the vehicle noise as I am quite used to it having lived in very busy towns, but if you are very particular about noise then maybe use ear-muffs at night. I have marked everything 5 stars except comfort (4 stars) for lack of Airconditioning.
