4-5 bedroom Villa At Kamala Beach, Pool

This place is such a gem for a group or a big family. It was very spacious for our family. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs and 2 upstairs and we ended up just using 3 out of the 5. There's AC and fan in every room and we didn't have any issues with keeping them cool. The location is amazing. It's a short 5 minute walk to the beach and maybe an 7 minute walk to the grocery stores. Kamala beach is a nice beach for families. The walkway bridge next to the beach has a ramp for strollers. There are 3 grocery stores nearby, Supercheap, Big C and Villa Market (in the order of distance from the house as well as prices, low to high). My favorite part is that you have access to all the restaurants, beach and stores without having to cross the very busy 4030 highway that goes through the entire island. We really didn't want to do that since we have very young kids. We didn't get to go visit the Kamala night market just because of sidewalk reconstruction in that direction but that's maybe a 10 minute walk at most. The pool is so warm and clean. We came right after the high season had just ended so it felt very private. The cleaning lady came I think twice a week which was very helpful, especially with keeping the floors clean of sand. She even did the dishes. For transportation, we just ended up installing Bolt to call for rides and they showed up right in front of the house. We just asked Teo to schedule the ride from the airport. Both Penny and Teo helped resolve all issues very quickly.

I wish the kitchen was stocked with some basic ingredients like oil, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. We ended up buying every ingredient since we don't like going out for every meal. It was stocked with all the kitchenware and appliances you would need. It would be nice if the TVs had one or two English channels. But we just ended up using YouTube on the TV.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The villa was very spacious, and we had more than enough room for 4 adults and 4 kids to stay comfortably. Everything was clean and well prepared for our arrival. Our host, Penny, was very kind and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. She organised airport transfer for us and experience at Elephant Sanctuary. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this villa to others.

The only negative aspect was that, due to Chinese New Year celebrations, it was quite noisy at night because of tuk-tuks driving around with loud music. However, this was related to the holiday festivities rather than the accommodation itself.

The apartment is big, with very nice furnitures that I appreciate as they make the stay more pleasant. Bedrooms are large and comfortable, each one equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fan. Also the 4 bathrooms are OK. The kitchen is very good, all necessary accesories are already included and if something is missing, the supervisor buys it for you. The apartment is divided in two floors: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and common spaces at the ground floor, the remaining 2 bedrooms and bathrooms at first floor. While at the ground floor the comfort is good, first floor rooms are very hot, maybe because more exposed to the sun. We were 5 friends and everyone coud have his privacy and "vital spaces"! Position is excellent, on the main road of Kamala, 5 minutes walking from the beach. In the neighbours you can find shops and restaurants for every need. While on the main street, there is no problem about external or traffic noise. Penny the supervisor is fantastic! Each time we needed for assistance she is immediately available to fix the problem! The residence provides a swimming pool but we didn't use it. Free wifi. Overall, the quality/price ratio is excellent.

The standard cleaning service is only once per week, it is insufficient for a so big apartment, so we agreed for an extra service (at cheap price, indeed). There is a TV in each room, but they didn't work! We didn't ask to fix for it, as we don't need, but maybe this could be important for other guests.
