It was a lovely property and big enough for my extended family. I loved the layout of it and it's in a nice location within walking distance from the town centre.
There was a dosette box full of medication that had been left by a previous occupant. When I reported this, there didn't appear to be much concern by staff; I wasn't asked for any details in order to get the meds back to the woman. I attempted to call the number of the pharmacy on the box but they were closed. The meds in the pack were important medications that she would have needed. Staff didn't even ask what meds they were and didn't seem bothered. On top of that, we had young children staying with us. Thankfully the meds were found by an adult as I dread to think what could have happened if the children had found them first.
The response I got after I reported finding them was pitiful! No one asked what I was going to do with them; if I'd taken them to a pharmacy, thrown them in a bin or just left them where I'd found them. If I'd been irresponsible, I could have just put them back where I found them and they'd likely have been missed again.
There were a few things in the property needing fixed - the window in the ensuite was difficult to close, some of the wardrobe doors didn't open properly and the curtain rail was broken in the living room.
I would have liked to have checked in earlier as 4pm is quite late. I was sent details about prices for checking in earlier but then sent a message stating it wasn't an option.

Location great. Facilities really good. Clean and big house. Perfect position for visits to local pubs and restaurants. Everything I needed was there. Lovely private fenced garden.

Good location 10 minutes leisurely walk to the Harbour area.
Big spacious house, easily accommodated 9 adults.
1 double bedroom on the ground floor (King size bed).
4 double bedrooms on 1st floor (each with double beds). 1 with an ensuite shower & toilet
Additional toilet and shower room on the 1st floor
1 toilet on the ground floor.
Well equipped kitchen, an airfryer would be a good addition. Plenty of glasses, plates, cups etc....Just a few more teaspoons would be helpful. Washing up liquid, a few dishwasher and washing machine tablets were provided along with a couple of bin liners and 2 dish clothes. Fortunately we had brought a few extra dishwasher tablets with us as we knew we were catering for 9 and didnt want to be washing up by hand.
The additional couch in the living room was a pleasant surprise as the photos suggest there is only a 3 seater couch. However, there was actually another 4 seater couch, which gave us 7 confortable seats. We used 2 kitchen chairs to accommodate the 9 of us when relaxing in the living room.
Lovely new carpets upstairs in bedrooms and hallway, nicely decorated throughout this floor.
Good wardrobe space in the 4 bedrooms on the 1st floor.
Large walk in cupboard on the ground floor for storing all of our coats.
House was nice and warm.
Prior to our stay I contacted to office who were extremely helpful and answered all my questions. It would be helpful for future quests if they were to update the description of the amenities available and new photos of the property.
Kitchen could be better laid out to accommodate a larger table to seat 10. We had to use the small round table from the conservatory to allow the 9 of us to sit together to enjoy our meals. It was not ideal having to join 2 tables together (one rectangular and one circular) to allow the 9 of us to dine together.
Rug on the living room floor is a trip hazard as it kept curling up at the edge, needs to be secured to the floor.
Decor in the living room in need of an update, looks tired and outdated and pictures did not go.
Only 3 hand towels were provided (one in each bathroom) a few spare ones would have been appreciated, we did not want to be having to put a washing on!
No wardrobe in ground floor bedroom, the addition of a hanging rail would be good (piano/keyboard could be removed to make room)
Ensuite bedroom toilet needs some attention as the toilet pan is not secured firmly to the floor.
Hopefully as spring is now upon us the gardens front and back will be given a bit of TLC.

Was a nice big house and nice location. Easy to walk down to front of harbour and a close walking distant to supermarket.
The property wasn’t very clean on arrival, such as dirty dishes and floors dusty in some areas - didn’t seem as if even been brushed. Just didn’t feel clean. First aid kid was also left empty.
