Assam Home Hostel Project

A grand old house in a quiet district of Guwahati. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and bathroom and were clean and showers had hot water. The kitchen has a microwave, drinking water and tea and coffee. There is a comfortable lounge with sofas and a table to eat or work on. The location is calm residential area with many shops and hotels nearby and an adjacent temple with singing and chanting on occasion. It is a ten minute auto ride to the main station. A good place to stay in Guwahati away from the bustle of the city. Private rooms and dormitories were of good standard.

The property is so aesthetic. The common areas

The owner never picked up my call! Even though I mentioned i needed to check out in the morning, i was locked inside the property gate , making my cab driver to the airport wait outside for some time. The owner never picked up the call (i think he blocks the residents) At last a neighbour helped me get out and barely get on time for my flight.

It's a lovely bungalow which has been converted into rooms and dorms for guests. The common spaces are absolutely wonderful to spend time in. The rooms are comfortable. There's greenery all around. It's a quiet neighborhood. Getting food delivered or stepping out to eat , both are very convenient here. It's a 15 min drive to the railway station. There's a big main road just 5 min away from the property on both sides. Very convenient to avail rapido and uber as well.

Yes, there are mosquitoes but can easily be managed by applying odomos. Only minor downside was that the bathroom could be upgraded but it was clean and comfortable to use nonetheless.

Very neat, clean and hygenic place. Staff is very polite and one would feel home. Property located in area where many restaurants and cafe are accessible.
