LA PASSIFLORE

We stayed for one night on our way from the UK to Italy. We have stayed in Aze before, but not here. What really made this place was the couple who run it. They welcomed us into their property and treated us like a family. There was a Dutch couple staying, a German couple, us British and the hosts, French. Dinner was outside at a set time in the courtyard at a single table with our hosts, but before dinner, the group were all invited for aperifs and introductions in the courtyard. It was so lovely. The food at dinner was ok and wine was offered if you wanted to buy a bottle. Breakfast was also in the courtyard, but individual tables. Breakfast was ok. Parking was in a space just outside the premises, within sight and down a small side road. Our room was comfortable. On leaving Aze we stopped at the Intermarché to get petrol and supplies before joining the motorway. We wish our hosts all the best for the future.

Our understanding was that this was a relatively new enterprise for this couple and they were gradually developing their set up. Our bathroom had been done, but the quality of the work wasn’t particularly good. It was breakfast that really provided the negative for me. All us foreigners and the one thing that the French do well, croissants for breakfast. NO CROISSANTS!

Quel bonheur d'être accueillie chaleureusement ! Quelle surprise de voir un lieu aussi propre et coquet ! La chambre "la romantique " ? Un petit nid douillet qu'on a peine à quitter . Les repas ?! Mille bravos et merci à Emmanuel pour tous ces mets du terroir travaillés en cuisine avec passion ! Longue vie à La Passiflore ! Quant à la région, c'est une de ces pépites qui contribue à la richesse culturelle de notre beau terrain de jeu qu'est la France. A très vite Patricia et Emmanuel !!!!
