Excellent location with many attraction of the Loire within 45mins by car. Hosts are a hard working farming couple and although we could not communicate brilliantly, we managed with the odd English and French words and sign language. We enjoyed the ambience of the old farmhouse which is truly unique. Very good central heating system. Very comfortable beds and large lounge area. The cooker is excellent, 5 calor gas rings and a large electric oven. Calor gas with all 5 rings on worked very well.
The owners are aware of difficulty with the cistern on the downstairs toilet, it was continually running. The upstairs shower was continuously dripping cold water from the shower mixer. Think the problem is due to lime scale and it affected the temperature - the water was slightly too hot. The kitchen area, whilst functional, could be improved and would benefit from new pots with fitting lids and basic cooking items eg salt, pepper, some herbs/spices, oil.
