Here, guests are invited to an unforgettable outdoor dining experience at our Dinner Train & Moonlight Moonshine events that happen throughout the summer, complete with sumptuous food, enchanting music, and an ambiance that echoes fun and festivity.
But that's not all. Located just minutes from the thriving city of Saratoga Springs, the LaMothe Farmhouse presents the perfect gateway to explore the historic Saratoga Race Course, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), and a plethora of great restaurants, shops, and activities suited for every age and interest.
This charming 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom, sleeping 9 farmhouse, offers all the modern conveniences you can ask for. Guests will enjoy the use of a free in-house washer and dryer, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The property boasts an outdoor dining area perfect for alfresco meals, an outdoor fire pit for cozy evenings under the stars, a BBQ grill for culinary adventures, and a dedicated workspace to keep you connected and productive. Entertainment is also just a click away with a Roku TV offering streaming access for those relaxing nights in.

PLEASE REVIEW BEFORE BOOKING:
- The home, originally built in 1800's, features a mix of historic charm and modern amenities. It includes oil-fired baseboard heating throughout and a gas fireplace located in the downstairs living area.
- Please note, the original staircase maintains its historic character and may not be ideal for guests with mobility issues. However, there is one bedroom located on the first floor for added accessibility.
- Firewood is only required for use in the outdoor fire pits, as the indoor fireplace is gas-operated.
- This farmhouse was built in the 1800’s, so the floors do creak & stairs are slightly steep, has a unique odor, and other features represent the age of the home. We feel this is what makes our home so unique and wonderful, although we realize not everyone may feel this way. Please be cognizant of this before booking.
- There are 2 A/C's upstairs and 1 downstairs for your convenience,
- If there is a bedroom that has a fan instead of an AC unit, it is due to the power grid being unable to handle it, please plan accordingly beforehand
- Guests are not allowed in the barn, chicken coop, exterior white tent & basement.
- Please do not move any furniture or A/C units
- The downstairs bathroom faucets are flip flopped (meaning "H" is cold and "C" is Hot)
- If staying over on a Wednesday, please bring the garbage cans to the road as Thursday is garbage pick up day.
- Please lock the door only using the smart lock as locking the door knob will lock you out.
- To open kitchen cabinets, press in towards handle and pull out
- Firewood is not provided, there is a lumber yard a quarter mile down the road that sells it at very reasonable prices.
- There is NO heating system in the house, only AC
- Please empty and take out the trash before departing. If staying over Thursday night, please take the garbage out for Friday morning pickup.

We loved this exceptional house. We had so much fun on this most beautiful property. The hosts were extremely helpful and made our stay so comfortable. We will definitely come back here every year.

We rented this spot for the big Travers Races at Saratoga, less than a 10 min drive away. We didnt expect to have a visit from the home owner who owns the house, the train track across the street and the classic old train! Oh and he's the conductor too!! It was great. The house is filled with classic saratoga memorabilia and has everthing you need. The steps are steep but the rooms are clean and comfie. We loved it!!

The kitchen and huge dining room table allowed us to cook and talk and gather and enjoy each other’s company. The history of the property and house was amazing. Each room was wonderful. One of the couples has already looked into booking another trip here. Also, we had a train dinner in the back yard and everyone really enjoyed that. No complaints about anything. Sj
