Especially in the fall and winter months, when the trees have shed their leaves, you can even enjoy a direct view of the sea from here.

Sassnitz is known for its central location near attractions and is appreciated for its wide range of excursion. Leave your car in the building’s underground parking garage, and in just a few minutes’ walk, you’ll reach the charming old town and the adjacent promenade, the historic Sassnitz Restaurant and Beach Hotel, as well as the harbor and other restaurants right by the sea. From the harbor, we definitely recommend booking a short boat trip to the famous chalk cliffs or taking a sightseeing tour to Binz or Sellin. Enjoy the great outdoors and the invigorating sea air on a long hike through the beautiful Jasmund National Park, which begins on the outskirts of Sassnitz. Explore the Königsstuhl in the national park, the white chalk cliffs that Caspar David Friedrich once captured in his paintings, or hike there in the footsteps of Philipp Otto Runge, who shared a similar enthusiasm for the chalk cliffs. Of course, you shouldn’t miss the Schaabe, the longest beach on the entire Baltic Sea coast. The restaurants along the beach and harbor promenades, as well as the small bars and pubs in Sassnitz’s beautiful old town, invite you to end the day in a cozy, seaside atmosphere.
