Experience East Frisian hospitality at a former farmhouse near Bensersiel. Right behind the dike, there’s plenty to experience and discover in addition to a healthy, relaxing getaway! And children are also very welcome!
At our vacation farm on the outskirts of Bensersiel, we have a total of two vacation apartments that we’d like to offer you. Two very comfortable and modernly furnished and equipped apartments—65 and 70 square meters in size, suitable for two to five people—are located in the former residential wing of the Gulf farmhouse.
The “Deich in Sicht” farm stands alone in the East Frisian marshlands, and every day you’ll enjoy the stunning view of the fields and meadows, the dike, and Bensersiel. The sunrise and the view as a whole will “haunt” your dreams all year long.
You can reach your evening walk along the dike by taking a short cut across the fields—just a few meters away. And then just take a short stroll—or even a few hours’ walk—and enjoy the sunset. You won’t even notice how time flies—it can only be this beautiful here on the coast!
Whether you’re here on vacation or for a health retreat, you’ll be perfectly taken care of here in Bensersiel.
From our vacation farm “Deich in Sicht,” you can easily walk to all the attractions Bensersiel has to offer: You’ll pass the harbor on your way to the beach, and very close by is, for example, the “Sonneninsel” North Sea thermal spa—a modern, heated water park and adventure pool featuring North Sea water. All spa facilities, as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness center, are housed in the “Sonneninsel.”
Once you reach the beach facilities, you’ll find the beach itself, complete with an adventure playground and the “Kunterbunt” children’s center. In addition, the new beach portal features “Bennis Abenteuerland,” a covered beach area for children. There’s also the seawater wave pool with a giant slide, the maritime sports theme park, the circus tent for children and various events, and many more ideas to enhance your vacation.
The Kajedeich along the “Benser Tief” is perfect for wonderful bike rides inland along the “Benser Tief.”
You’ll also find plenty of shops—such as those in the Deichpassage—as well as restaurants and cafés along your way to the beach.
Very close to Bensersiel lies Esens, the “parlor” of the Harlingerland region. You can reach Esens by car in about five minutes. Better yet, hop on a bike and take the “back route” through the marshlands via the “Hammerweg” or along the idyllic “Kajedeich” by the “Benser Tief.” Wonderful tours await you.
The fantastic attractions of Bensersiel are complemented by the over 475-year-old knight’s town of Esens, with its historic town center. Here you’ll find plenty of events—both large and small—museums, as well as additional dining options and shopping opportunities.
