About this house rental
The town of roses is located in the south of the island of Rügen. Putbus is also known as the white town - due to its unique classicist town complex with bright whitewashed residential and commercial buildings around the circus, the castle park with orangery and stables and the Little Theatre. The town owes its special charm to its founder, Prince Wilhelm Malte I zu Putbus, who had his family seat developed into a residential town modelled on Bad Doberan and Heiligendamm. He also decreed that there should be a rose in front of every house; there are now around 100 different varieties to admire. In addition, the Lauterbach district of Putbus is located directly on the Greifswald Bodden, the oldest seaside resort on Rügen and the narrow-gauge railway Rasender Roland, which runs past the Granitz hunting lodge to Binz, on to Sellin. Baabe and to Göhren. Thanks to its central location, Putbus is the ideal starting point for the island's most beautiful excursion destinations, whether by bike, on foot or on the water. The most important sights or the fine sandy Baltic Sea beaches are approx. 10-12 km away. Shopping facilities and various restaurants can be found directly in Putbus or in Lauterbach, others in Bergen, approx. 8 km away.
