The Space:
The cottage is everything a Maine oceanfront home should be! Featuring one bedroom in the main house with a queen sized bed, a twin bed in the living area and a full sized bed in the bunkhouse, the cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests. This home has hosted guests for many years and many come back year after year to experience the beautiful Maine coastline. Situated just a short drive from Schoodic Point and the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park, guests can access hiking trails within a few miles of the home. Please note the bunkhouse does not have its own heat source though extra blankets are provided.
The Neighborhood:
The Brigadoon Cottage is located on a quiet road and peaceful neighborhood in Gouldsboro, Maine. Guests will enjoy spending time outside exploring the shoreline or visiting nearby Schoodic Point, Acadia National Park, hiking trails and more. The village of Gouldsboro is charming and nearby Winter Harbor offers restaurants and shops.

This is a cozy little waterfront cottage with so much charm! We enjoyed beautiful evenings and bright mornings on the large deck. Perfect for a quiet getaway with lots of outdoor adventure at our fingertips!

Just a treat to stay here. Can’t overstate how serene the view from the back yard and deck can be - terns diving for their lunch, curious seals, and the rumble of lobster boats in a calm bay. Well priced, we’ll described. And close enough, but yet far enough, from the amenities you might need.

Our stay at Brigadoon Cottage was delightful. We had complete privacy and the quiet was wonderful. Hearing the sounds of the lapping of the water on shore, lobster boats in the distance, sea gulls flying overhead and the fresh sea air was perfect. The cottage is charming. Kayaks are provided with the rental too. If you're looking for a great place to get away and explore the quiet side of Acadia, this is it! We loved it. Absolutely loved it.

My wife, adult daughter and I spent an all-too-brief few days at Brigadoon - what a lovely place in a fabulous spot! The cottage was very cozy (which was particularly appreciated on account of the “average” weather), well equipped and comfortable. Sadly we were not able to take advantage of the kayaks and fire pit due to the wet / cool weather however this didn’t prevent us from exploring some of the many fabulous local surroundings. We’d love to return!

We had a wonderfully relaxing time at Brigadoon for 3 nights. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the tide come in and out, reading, smore’s around the campfire, kayaking, and grilling for dinner. Starlink Internet service is blazing fast if you want to stream movies at night. We took the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor and back one day for lunch and saw all sorts of wildlife en-route. Great cocktails and dinner one night at The Gallery restaurant in Winter Harbor. We hope to be back again at Brigadoon sometime in the future!

We felt like we were far away from the hustle and bustle but really not too far at all! The kids LOVED going up and down the beach looking for sea creatures and shells. They even got a kick of "sleeping outside" in the bunkhouse which is very nice. It was such a cozy place and our family had a wonderful retreat while being able to enjoy Acadia, Bar Harbor and the surrounding areas!

We loved our stay at Brigadoon Cottage. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our 30 anniversary. We arrived on a chilly, rainy afternoon and were so happy to have dry firewood for the cozy wood stove. Walking the beach and never encountered another person. Everywhere I looked there was another tasteful touch.
Look no further, this place is paradise!
