About this house rental
Our centrally located home makes a perfect base for exploring Anchorage, as well as enjoying world-class Alaska day trips south to the Kenai Peninsula and Homer, as well as trips north to breathtaking Talkeetna and Denali. Our house is a two-story 4 bedroom, two bathroom house in a safe, quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. There’s a high chance you will see a moose or two in the neighborhood, even on our property. There is a RING exterior security camera at the front door for extra safety. There is easy 24/7 Keypad access with secure deadbolt entry. We have a private, fenced backyard lawn with table and chairs. There are 2 Queen bedrooms and 2 (2) Twin Bedrooms with comfortable beds and black-out curtains since Alaska is known for our midnight sun. We provide a convenient In-house laundry room with a large washer and dryer. Our kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size fridge, oven, stove, dishwasher, cookware, bakeware, oils, seasonings, and much more. There is a SMART TV that is already connected to Netflix and Disney Plus. We also provide fast high-speed WiFi. Please let me know if you would like to use our high chair, baby gate, and pack and play crib so we can make sure to put it out for you.

Plenty of room for family of 7, very cute decor. Nice layout, had what we needed to enjoy our stay. Great parking. Convenient airport location (air traffic noise which didn’t bother me). My biggest complaint would be the smell. Immediately upon entering the home it smelled like a former heavy smoker had lived there, combined with the smell of an old basement home. Very tough smell to get out. We adjusted and didn’t notice it as much after we had stayed a bit, but it is very unpleasant coming into the house. It’s an older home that I can see has been updated in many areas and they’ve done a nice job but still could use a few more improvements. Downstairs toilet bowl dirty and shower could be cleaner. Upstairs shower was tricky. After 3 people showing back to back, we could no longer get water pressure to shower again. Upstairs bathroom sink extremely low water pressure. No towels were available in upstairs bathroom. I had to hunt downstairs to find where they were stored. Not a big deal, but I don’t understand why they didn’t have towels in the linen closet upstairs that was empty and across the hall from the bathroom. Dishwasher in kitchen was unacceptable. I wouldn’t use it. I hand washed all dishes. Really should be replaced. Upstairs shower walls/ceiling had peeling paint. Needs to be redone. Appears to have mildew/smoke coming through. Not a dealbreaker, but seems like it could be an easy improvement for a better overall appearance. I would stay here again.

The place served its purpose. It was clean enough, but could certainly use some updates. I would call it a budget option. Communication and check in/out were great.
