About this house rental
Sail Away, the name of our home, on North Captiva Island is exactly what you are looking for. Want to escape to another country but stay in America? Do you want to disconnect, leave the roads behind, and go on an adventure?
Sail Away is only accessible by boat and you have the full width of the island to yourself. 3 King size Beds and a bunk room with 2 Full size beds and two twins allow you to bring the whole family on an adventure. The house may be off-grid but we have a Schneider Solar system, Discovery LiFEPO4 Batteries, and a 27 kW liquid cooled back-up generator. Yes, there is also a Starlink high speed internet if you want to work remotely from a private island for several weeks! Longer term rentals are also available.
The house is amazing but the setting is even more phenomenal. World class fishing for Reds, Snook, Mangrove snapper, sheepshead, and more is just right off your dock. Fishing guides from all over bring their clients to fish our docks. The fishing off the beach is equally awesome. The wildlife and bird watching is phenomenal. The osprey are captivating and we love watching the dolphins and manatee.
We have chairs, floats, kayaks, and SUP to enjoy the warm water of the Gulf.
Adventure awaits off the island as well. The boating of Pine Island Sound is so much fun. You can go north up through Charlotte Harbor and enjoy lunch at the Pink Elephant on Boca or have dinner at the Green Flash on Captiva. Our favorite place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is Cabbage Key. So much fun!

Just left after enjoying 8 days at this place. All appliances worked perfectly in spite of remote off-grid location. All premium stuff. House has brand new feel given recent remodel. Very nice new dock out back too. We ran out of a few groceries but host delivered them first thing the next morning. For fishing, shelling and getting away from the crowds this has to be the best vacation on earth. Thank you!!!
