Hostal Santa Fe de la Veracruz

Very enjoyable experience at a very good price. Hotel staff are more than accommodating. Located on a pedestrian walkway with great places to eat and shop.

Decent enough hotel - convenient to bus station, downtown shopping precinct, and many restaurants and bars. Nice continental breakfast. Pleasant staff. Rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. Room decor a bit worn and dated, but we're not typically bothered by that. Walls are a bit thinner than ideal, so both plumbing and elevators can be heard operating, but for us - not the end of the world. They ran out of hot water quite early on our last morning, but I assume that was a one-off maintenance mishap rather than a regular thing. (Hot water was fine on our other two mornings.) Overall, my sense is that they're one of the better places in the city centre, and I would stay there again.
