Johnny Apartment Berat

Very affordable and in an excellent location. The host was very polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. He even drove us to the private parking, which was located off-site, and picked us up the next morning when we checked out so we could get back to our car. We really appreciated his help and the excellent hospitality. For what we needed, it was okay (we were mainly looking for an inexpensive place to sleep and take a shower before continuing our drive the next day). For that purpose, it worked well.

The main thing to be aware of is that, although the listing described it as an “entire apartment,” it was actually a private bedroom with a private bathroom in a shared apartment. This was a little different from what we expected when booking. That said, the price was very affordable and the location was excellent, so for a short overnight stay like ours, it was still good value for what we needed.

Johnny is een zeer vriendelijke host. Hij doet alles om je verblijf naar je zin te maken. Hielp mee met de bagage. Kwam helpen toen we de TV niet in gang kregen. Heel ruime, hygienische kamers met alle faciliteiten. En dat voor een zeer goede prijs. De ligging is ook perfect. Op 100m van het centrum waar je alle restaurants en bezienswaardigheden vlakbij hebt. Parking voor de deur.

We liked the apartment and Johni was a good host. He was willing to stay up late for us to arrive and also give us his grandfather’s bike for a couple of hours early in the morning . That was kind of him and he is a pleasant man. He is always contactable and as helpful as he can be. The apartment is cosy and clean. The shower does leak and doesn’t stand up but for our stay this was good. The location is good, it is on the main road and easy to get to everything with lots of road free parking right outside.

You should be aware that this is a shared apartment. It is not a 2 bedroom apartment- we arrived and there was a whole family in the kitchen/living room/ double bed area. The apartment is split up into two with a communal entrance area, which is where a toilet is for the kitchen side. The other room is two single beds with a bathroom in it. These two are two different accommodations. The first night Johni said it was a mistake and double booking. The second night two new people also came without any notice, we were supposed to share a kitchen/ living space with them and the slide door in that space with the bedroom was ‘our space’. Just be aware of it. Johni seemed to think we were being unfriendly/ unreasonable for thinking this was our space. It is a good price but just know they are separate accommodations within the one. If you are two females/ on your own I would not recommend as there is no lock between the two bookings.

Jonny is a great host, made us feel very welcome. Offered use of his family's private car park to leave our car for an extended time. Offered drinks while we waited. Was able to share his years of knowledge in berat with us.
