NOGS homestay is truly a beautiful building and property in the small town of Pilaring. It’s about 2/3 of the way from General Luna to Pacifico. 45 min to GL, 18 to Pacifico and 45 to Alegria way in the north. Nogs, Mark, Renz and the rest of the team do a wonderful job keeping the property spotless and comfortable for guests. The breakfast every morning is cooked to order, coffee is unlimited, and there are even kayaks for free use at high tide. We loved this about NOGS homestay. We also enjoyed the covered working/dining area with beautiful mangrove wood tables and benches that allowed us to work outside even in the rain.

The only downside of NOGS is the location being slightly off the beaten path and the lack of nearby restaurants, although Pacifico has plenty of great options (we LOVED Chévere). Also, the power went out quite frequently in the little town of Pilaring which caused the WiFi to be spotty, and we went one night without air conditioning until the wee hours of the morning when it kicked back on.

Environnement mangrove, location simple de scooters (pas le choix pour se déplacer de là bas de toute façon), canoë a dispo pour se balader en autonomie dans la mangrove. Le gérant est arrangeant et m'a proposé un petit dej malgré mon retard d'1j a cause d'un vol annulé.

Découvrir sur place qu'il y a des travaux en cours sur place sans en avoir été notifié, impossible de dormir en plein jour, impossible de faire rentrer la lumière du soleil dans la chambre puisque les ouvriers sont juste en face. J'avais demandé s'il y avait des options pour s'y rendre a partir de l'aéroport car clairement pas la zone la plus touristique. Je n'ai eu une réaction qu'une fois arrivé par mes propres moyens avec de gros frais de privatisation de van. A refaire je prendrai un van partagé pr aller a General Luna et de là un transport bcp moins cher pr remonter vers le nord. Prix au-dessus des prix de la zone pour prestation similaire.
