Cava Del Sol

Fantastic, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean accommodation. Large bedrooms with big en-suite shower rooms & a huge "living" space. Lots of different outside areas. Lovely host, Gabriella - our only problem was that she doesn't speak English (& I don't speak Italian🙄I should have picked that up on the info!) but we communicated using Google Translate via WhatsApp & messages!! She met us when we arrived & showed us around. The whole area is very security conscious, with electronic gates & very secure door locks. Very clean, unheated swimming pool (but see negatives re: sharing). Plenty of signs to direct you to the accommodation as you approach by car. Mosquito nets on all windows & patio doors.

I understand sometimes individual rooms are let, then you'd share living/kitchen/outside areas with all other occupants but as we'd booked the whole villa it wasn't a problem. If you book the whole villa, the amount of kitchen utensils for cooking an evening meal etc is a little limited. The largest saucepan (of 3) was barely big enough to cook pasta for 3 people, let alone for 6, if all double rooms were fully occupied. There were no sharp kitchen knives for chopping vegetables. The pool & surrounding area is shared with another apartment on site (Cava del Mar) which could be a problem if you thought you had exclusive use of it. For us, we barely saw the other occupants & they didn't appear to use the pool, so not a problem for us! You definitely need a car if staying here, although there is a supermarket (MD) about 15 mins walk away. No restaurants close by apart from a Pizza restaurant behind the supermarket.

Het huis en zwembad is fantastisch. Zo ingedeeld dat het drie losse hotelkamers (met badkamer en zelfs eigen buitenruimte) zijn met een gemeenschappelijke woonkamer en keuken.

Je zit niet op loopafstand van een centrum, dus voor een boodschap, restaurant heb je de auto nodig.
