A beautifully clean and comfortable apartment overlooking the sea. It was in the perfect location to explore Sorrento, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. The host Francesco was constantly available and always helpful.

הבעיה החמורה ביותר הייתה שבפרטי הנכס כתוב שיש 2 חדרי רחצה ובדירה יש רק חדר רחצה אחד. יש עוד חדרון עם אסלה, אבל זה לא מה שכתוב בפרטי הנכס. זו בעיה חמורה ביותר מפני שהיינו 2 זוגות וזה גרם לחוסר נוחות גדולה מאוד.

Wanderlust Stay – Mixed Experience in Southern Italy We recently stayed at the Wanderlust property and while there were certainly positives, our experience overall did not meet expectations—especially considering the long journey we made to get there. Pros: The apartment itself is well-equipped, with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and two toilets—an ideal layout for a small family or group. The full kitchen, with all things you need and more , comfortable beds, efficient air conditioning, and access to digital TV content were appreciated. Some very nice finishes around the living room with books and ornaments. The airport pick-up and drop-off service arranged through the host (at €100 each way) was convenient and fairly priced when compared to local taxi or Uber options. The host also recommended a couple of nearby restaurants which turned out to be good value with enjoyable food. Additionally, he offered optional extras such as a home-cooked dinner in the garden and excursions, which could appeal to some travelers.

Cons: Pick up from the airport by the host was a little difficult as, he gave us instructions where to meet but was quite confusing for first time people arriving into Sorrento , it would have been better to be waiting with our name on a board in arrivals, we would have been happy to pay for the parking and it would have made for a smoother service. The property is located in a very remote area. Unless you have a car, getting around can be challenging. Public transport is unreliable, with infrequent and overcrowded buses, while taxis are quite expensive. There is no mobile ph coverage here, only Wifi which also was not stated on the booking, and makes communication with google maps difficult and general communication. Despite being listed as private accommodation, the property is part of a larger residential complex and does not offer much in terms of privacy. The host lives directly below, and while he kindly offered use of the swimming pool, it’s located opposite his apartment, making it difficult to relax in privacy. Noise was another issue. A neighboring apartment had dogs that frequently barked, and were not friendly , another had a child who caused quite a bit of disturbance with stomping, loud music, and slamming doors at times. We also felt uncomfortable with some of the house rules and the tone in which they were delivered—for example, being told to shower off sunscreen before bed because of the impact on sheets, and being given overly detailed instructions on how to separate the rubbish. While these are understandable requests, the manner in which they were communicated felt intrusive and overly controlling. Final Thoughts: Overall, the property was not what we had hoped for. It felt more like a shared B&B experience than a private rental. The host was overly involved, which may suit some travelers, but for experienced and independent guests like us, it felt intrusive.
