Forest Muse Art Manor-Tea Horse Road, Shuhe Ancient Town Hillside

This resort is located within easy 10 minutes walking distance to Shuhe on a path beside the hotel. The hotel will drop you off at Baisha and Lijiang for day trips. Shuhe is a great location to be, less touristy than Lijiang and with good restaurants and sites. Rooms are spacious and very well appointed. An added bonus was artwork from the owner, a famous Chinese artist. Breakfast was expansive and flexible for personal tastes. We greatly appreciated connecting with Moonie, helping us understand Chinese culture and language. We would highly recommend staying here.

This is a great place to stay and I would stay there again. Shuhe is a nice central location for visiting preserved old architecture. No issues with this resort.

I liked the architectural style and room finishes, a good balance between contemporary and traditional. The customer service was amazing and the walk down to the village morning and night was really pleasant. I enjoyed the rice noodle breakfast and the special of spinach dumplings (I requested). The owner, Ms Moon was especially kind and understands western preferences. The staff also helped me a lot with transport. Everyone was so nice. I enjoyed the beautiful books depicting the artist Zheng Zesheng's story, it felt like a special place.

We must also commend the exceptional attention from your concierge team. They were consistently attentive, proactive in assisting with arrangements, and provided excellent recommendations that greatly enhanced our visit. Finally, after long days out, retreating to our room and soaking in the incredibly comfortable bathtub was the perfect way to unwind. It made our stay feel truly luxurious and relaxing. We will definitely return on our next visit and highly recommend your hotel to other travelers seeking a comfortable, culturally immersive, and service-oriented stay.
