"Una casa impecable con todo lo necesario para no preocuparse por nada. Los dos dormitorios y baños son muy cómodos. Disfrutamos mucho del área exterior y la parrillada. Me sorprendió lo bien decorada y equipada que está villa. La cocina; tiene desde sanduchera hasta copas de vino. Un detalle que valoramos mucho fue la ducha afuera y el tendedero, fundamentales si vas a la playa seguido. La presión del agua es excelente y si tienen agua caliente. El anfitrión muy atento y el ingreso fue sin complicaciones. ¡Repetiríamos sin duda!"

This is a beautiful home with high bamboo ceilings, with comfortable beds, and in a very safe and quiet gated community with an excellent lap pool. The house has more amenities than many other properties: hammocks, a good array of kitchenware, a bbq (didn’t use it though), a cooler, outdoor furniture, good lighting, good AC, hot showers, enough drinking water to get through a night at least. One of the best things is that it backs onto undeveloped land. The birds and occasional monkeys calling! A beautiful way to wake up each day. We downloaded the Merlin app and used it to identify birds — the variety is remarkable. We even heard a rare cuckoo. Since the house is at the back of the community, you get plenty of quiet. You can hear the ocean faintly from the house. It’s about 1/4 mile to the community guarded gate; and only a 2 minute walk to two pools, one of which is long enough to do good laps. It’s closed and cleaned every Thursday I believe. The guards at the entrance are friendly and helpful. Ask them for the WhatsApps of the taxis and the water delivery. Walking to the beach in town is about 3/4 mile. At least one towel per person is provided — but bring more for the beach. Extra sheets and pillows are provided.

Walking from the community to the first turnoff into Olon is about 1/4 mile on the main coastal highway. It’s loud and cars go fast. So just be prepared to take care. It’s a trade off — you get the peace, quiet, and safety, but the price is walking a section of highway to town. There is no beach access (it’s all private) until Olon town. The curtains are beautiful , but they don’t afford privacy. We put sheets up to get privacy. There is no microwave, and the clothes washing machine needs repair. The owner indicated it would be fixed or replaced in January. We called a taxi and took our wash to a laundry in town — we got it back same day, folded, for $16. The internet was the main problem — but I expect the owner will be changing immediately to a new service with fiber optic. The cabling is there at the street, it just needs to be connected. Don’t let any of this stop you from booking — just contact the owner to ensure the fixes have been made. In spite of these issues, we really enjoyed our stay, and appreciated all that the property has to offer. The owner is responsive and communicates well.
