Les gîtes d'Ostriconi - Villa Ogliastro

This property is on the most amazing location we visited on the island. Diane is a lovely host and very accommodating and very communicative also in English if your French isn’t very strong. She shared a lot of tips about the neighborhood and regarding the apartments and checkout instructions and generously allowed us to check out later so we had a chance to enjoy the beach on our last day. The apartment was clean and had everything one needed for a stay and the entire place has a kind of ‘hacienda’ vibe for lack of a better description. The beach of Ostriconi is just 7-8 minutes away across a small river. If you are prepared to go into the sea wading through a shallow river (a bridge crosses the larger section) shouldn’t be an obstacle.

There are no mosquito nets on windows or doors and I did get eaten a bit. Be prepared to bring mosquito repellents. Alternatively mosquito netting or something hung at least around the bed could be an improvement.
