My only regret is I checked in late, so I could not use all of their facilities like gym, business space and roof top etc. They have trouser jinbei type of pajamas so I could sleep more comfortably.

Very comfortable stay at Nara Novotel. Overnight parking is a bit expensive though at ¥1,500 per night. Amenities are good. It's convenient to walk to several sightseeing locations too. There's also shared shuttle services with JW Marriott that brings you to Nara Kinetsu station

The price of the room was cheap for this brand. That said: upon checkin a payable upgrade was offered and the car parking had to be paid straight away. We had cheaper hotels with free car parking in Kyoto and Nara…a hotel of this standard all over the world has free car parking for its clients. The room is nice and clean, overall very good, the pillows…first reaction was : nice pillows! Until I slept on them: smelly so need dry cleaning, one pillow too thin , the other too thick, not a good night sleep. The restaurant : we decided for the buffet which was a bad decision: the pizza and french fries were cold, the rest average. The desert was nearly finished all so I had to go ask them to refill it ! The rip off part: we ordered 2 cups of Tea not being aware that near the entrance a bit hidden from the food buffet was a large coffee machine and 10 types of tea for free. The lady that sold us the buffet package and took the order did not matter to tell us this , she just charged us both extra for the tea from the menu ! Overall disappointing!
