Ishigaki sen

No chair/ dining table inside. Only 1 shower so may take a bit of time for family visitors. Great location, with a park just 5s walk from the entrance and a small market in 30s driving distance. Very clean to

Very good

Although it initially appeared it could be cumbersome, the check-in process could not have been easier. I uploaded all of our passports onto the check-in portal a few days before arrival, then once we were there, we seamlessly did our check-in virtually, and were inside the unit within a minute or two of arrival. The home is exactly as described, very spacious with a private indoor/outdoor natural mineral spring onsen. There were plenty of towels, a kitchen with all of the essential tools needed to cook basic meals, and plenty of parking. There were a number of grocery stores nearby, and it was the perfect base to explore Beppu for four days for us. My parents, and my husband and I were very happy there. The host could not have been more helpful and responsive to each question, and we could not have been more pleased with this accommodation. It was the exact same price as I would’ve paid to book 2 hotel rooms anywhere else, and as a bonus, we had a private onsen versus needing to share or be public at a hotel. Plus, you can do your laundry (soap provided), and line dry. Although we did not use the sauna since it was quite warm, it’s a stunning addition to the entire experience! It’s a lovely quiet residential area so if you’re a rowdy group it might not be an ideal match… but if you’re a multigenerational family traveling together, this place was perfect for us! I was able to self cater most of our meals- so many dishes provided! We loved it here and will be back!
