The house has one usable bedroom and one in a basement area that we were not comfortable using due to the mildew odor, lack of egress and steep stairs. The main floor was pleasant and a tad dated. The living room and bedroom had no lamps so it was ceiling light or darkness my old friend. A side table on side of bed and in the living room would have enhanced the area. The neighborhood is fantastic with nice walking spaces. The property manager was very responsive to our call on a minor issue that was due to a power outage.

The location of the house is very close to downtown Chillicothe, less than a mile. That might however be the only redeeming quality of this quaint bungalow. There are two bedrooms/2 bathrooms, but one is located in the basement. The basement stairs are very steep and there is no ventilation. If there were a fire, I’m not sure anyone could escape through the windows. The listing says there is no smoking allowed however the house had a strong smoke/musty smell to it. It also states there is a washer/dryer but we did not see one. There were not enough towels for guests, no hand towels. I never received a code to get access to the house even after I reached out through the app. I had to make a phone call to get the code. There was also no WiFi available. Overall, this could be a great place to stay as a one bedroom if some TLC were put into the details.
