Innovative ideas and new visions rarely emerge in the quiet confines of a private room, but rather when our surroundings invite us to switch off our minds for a moment, let our thoughts relax, and set them on a journey. When we take the time to simply brainstorm together—without mental boundaries, without time pressure, and without everyday routines—that’s when the best ideas come to us. Nestled amid beautiful nature with a magnificent view of the Szczecin Lagoon, the Küstenkiste seminar and guest house is just waiting to spark the creativity and team spirit of its visitors. How about brainstorming while playing beach volleyball, exchanging ideas over a barbecue or while relaxing in the hot tub, or planning a project after a meditation session or an outdoor yoga workout with a view of the lagoon? The Küstenkiste in Garz, located directly on the high cliffs of the Szczecin Lagoon, offers all of this and much more. The sprawling property covers 15,000 square meters and features a beach volleyball court, a large terrace with a grill, and a viewing platform. The house itself is situated in a quiet location at the edge of Garz. From here, you can easily explore Usedom’s hinterland—with its sleepy little villages, quaint garden cafés, and secluded coves—by bike or on a hike. Swimmers and sunbathers will find an idyllic beach in Kamminke, about two kilometers away. The water is so shallow that you can still stand even a hundred meters from the shore. An attractive spot for kitesurfers.
Küstenkiste, Seminar and Guest House:
In this 300-square-meter seminar and guest house with spacious outdoor grounds, up to 16 people—plus one toddler in a travel crib—can enjoy their time together, whether working or celebrating. In this unique setting, guests don’t just unwind—they’re inspired to come up with creative ideas full of rhythm and blues. That’s because the modern architecture of the house, built of steel, concrete, and wood, is filled with references to the great artists of rock ’n’ roll. The attention to musical detail is evident in many small touches. Anyone who strolls through the house with their eyes open is guaranteed to be inspired. Why not put a record on the turntable and let yourself drift away to the sounds of great songs? A large, open living area on the first floor is perfectly designed to combine productivity and leisure. The Küstenkiste is also ideally suited for large family gatherings. The loft-style common area is a wonderful place to celebrate, eat, cook together, or simply sit together and enjoy life. The living area, with its leather sofas, fireplace, and piano; the dining area, featuring a massive wooden table that’s also perfect for brainstorming, discussing ideas, and making plans; and the ultra-modern kitchen all create a sense of freedom and togetherness, of lightheartedness and a focus on what truly matters. In the courtyard and on the sun terrace with a grill, two large tables also invite you to dine together and relax. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly want for cooking with a group. It features a 6-burner induction stove, an oven, and a microwave-oven combination. Even with 16 roommates, doing the dishes is no problem. That’s because two large dishwashers take care of it. The cabinets and an utility room with a washer, dryer, and an additional refrigerator and freezer provide plenty of storage space for all necessary utensils, which are easy to find thanks to labeling. Guests stay in eight studios—two on the first floor, six on the first floor—each with a double bed, a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a shower and natural light, and a separate toilet. Three of the bedrooms have access to a balcony with a view of the lagoon. But all the other rooms also offer a view of the greenery from the bed. Each room is dedicated to a different musical genius. Decide for yourself whether you’d rather let Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, or Bob Dylan inspire you and your dreams. Upstairs, there’s another lounge area with a flat-screen TV and access to the balcony. In the fitness room, you can work up a sweat on high-quality equipment from Nohrd, then recharge your batteries in the sauna or hot tub. But the real highlight of the property is the spacious garden with a beach volleyball court made of real beach sand, cozy nooks for sitting, a hot tub, and a large relaxation terrace with a view of the lagoon. Parking spaces and a wall box for electric cars (for a fee) are available in front of the house. Animal-loving guests may bring up to two of their pets for an additional fee.
