Lakefront, Heated Pool, Sauna, Sleeps 8!

My 7-woman book club stayed here to celebrate three 40th birthdays and we had an absolute BLAST. The views are everything, the pool is incredible, the hot tub is huge, the different areas of outdoor seating were wonderful, and we honestly loved the nostalgia of the bunk room. It felt like we were at camp! My girls loved the massage chair and thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks too.The place was immaculately clean, and it smelled really nice throughout the house. Plenty of towels and they even had some sunscreen and bug spray. VERY well stocked!!The only things I would draw your attention to are (and none of them are BAD, just things to be aware of):1. As other reviewers have noted, there is no indoor living/seating space. So you need to be creatively prepared with ways to create your own if the weather isn’t cooperating. It was never an issue for us bc the one time it stormed, we were able to enjoy the outdoor covered deck. 2. The bunk room almost looks as if you could sleep a 7th person under one of the sets of windows. Unless it’s a kiddo who can handle rock hard plywood, you’ll need to bring an extra cushion or twin air mattress if you’re hoping to use that space. Otherwise we found the true bunk beds VERY comfy. 3. There are no curtains in the bunk room. I noticed this in photos and, as such, made accommodations since my group prefers darker rooms in the mornings. Obviously completely dependent on your group dynamics whether this is an issue or not!

Our family of five had a great stay. 40ish minutes to Nashville and a little over 60 to waterfall hikes such as Cummins falls. The pool/hot tub were a hit with the family. The kayaks were also fun with the kids.Couple of notes. No living room area so if you are stuck inside no easy area to hang out together. Also if stuck inside due to weather, second bathroom is only accessible from the outside. it’s clean and nice. It’s useful when you’re in the pool or hot tub. Just something to note. We would stay again.

This place was as good as described!! Fantastic place to relax and not too far from Nashville for a day out on the town. Host was awesome and great communication

We had an amazing time overall and enjoyed the location, but there were several issues that should be addressed.Upon arrival, we were met with an overwhelming smell from numerous air freshener plug-ins throughout the house. Cleanliness was also a concern. There was dog hair on the walls, floors, furniture, and even in the main bedroom bed. The kitchen table was sticky and had hair and food residue on it. The glass stovetop had a layer of dust, and the oven still contained cleaning residue.We also encountered spiders throughout the property, both inside and outside. The deck, dock, and outdoor structures were covered in cobwebs and active spiders. Looking through the deck boards, there were cups and beer pong balls visible underneath, which made the area appear poorly maintained.After I contacted management about the cleanliness concerns, the owner, who lives next door, came onto the property without notice and walked around the deck area. He never knocked on the door, which was unsettling, especially since the house has almost no blinds or curtains and our children could clearly see him outside.The dock shown in the listing photos was not the dock available to guests. The dock we used was older, rusty, had exposed rusted metal poles, and was covered in spider webs.For a rental costing over 2,000, I expected better cleanliness, maintenance, communication, and accuracy in the listing. While we enjoyed our stay, these issues affected our overall experience.
