About this house rental
Surrounding area is a nature lover's dream. Lots of wildlife! Beautiful home with a great room overlooking the forest. It’s spacious with three bedrooms and three full baths, full dining room, and huge kitchen. Kitchen is equipped with gas stove, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, and microwave. Cookware and dinnerware are also supplied. The house stays warm in winter and cool in summer with standard whole house heating and AC. Many places of interest including horseback riding, hiking, fishing, hunting, and 4 wheeling with literally hundreds of miles of trails accessible right from the front door. Lake Wilhelmina is just a stone’s throw away and quaint town of Mena is under 30 minutes for access to restaurants, craft and antique dealers, and the usual amenities (retail stores, hospital, gas stations etc). Talimena National Scenic Byway also winds through the area with many breath taking look out points. The home is also handicap accessible with a wheel chair ramp, walk in 7’x7’shower, lift chair in the living room, and all needed amenities on the first floor. Second floor is third bedroom and third full bath. House rules will be posted at the residense. Please be respectful of these few reqirements. Complimentary Scent Free products are available for use throughout the house. (I.E dish soap, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent pods, Ivory bath bars, Seventh Gen. all purpose cleaner, scent free dryer sheets, unscented shampoo, etc.) Please be considerate to out scent sensitive guests and owner. Do not bring scented products into the house. Parking is by the front door in open dirt/gravel area. Lot or yard space is center of circular drive and 50’ in any other direction from the house. Garage or outbuildings are off limits. Use of any outdoor exercise or entertainment equipment, or hiking is at your own risk. There is almost limitless National Forest to explore due south or east of the house. Please use safe hiking practices. No campfires or burning is allowed. Thank you.

Very secluded quiet area middle of no where. But not to far from everything you need. Sxs and 4 wheeler trails. You can ride to them from the house. Plenty of room for a large group if needed. If u want to just get away this is your place. Plenty of yard to park trucks and trailers. Plus the price was not that bad as well. My group will be returning for another visit.

We were so fortunate to snag this property for the lunar eclipse. And we were elated at what we found. Clean and tidy and functional, and very, very spacious. Well-appointed, but not fru-fru (thank you!) ). Family friendly, kiddo friendly, handicap friendly, pet friendly—this place checks them all.
The living area is expansive. No wi-fi but receives excellent cell service. By creating a hot-spot, my husband was able to access music and movies and even a live basketball game.
Forest Get Away! is truly rural and if you appreciate nature, you won’t be disappointed. There is an extensive deck area with lots of seating and a grill and gates to keep pet from running off. There is also an enclosed area of the yard big enough for pet to run. Fun kiddie recreation features including a tree house! Host is very accommodating. Thank you, Denise. I hope to return!
