About this apartment rental

Enjoy the peaceful charm & ambiance of a restored vintage B&B! Perfect for a romantic getaway, personal retreat or family trip, it's private, quiet, has views of 200 acres of lovely woods and is beautifully decorated with comfy vintage and cottage style furniture. Amenities include wine, cheese and crackers "Welcome Basket," yummy breakfast items, Starbucks coffee, luxury towels and bedding, Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu Live, Disney+, ESPN+, Echo Dot with Alexa, Amazon Music and BOSE Speaker! Just 5 min from I-69, University of Olivet, Pine Lake and the Old Indian Creek Farm Wedding Venue, we are also 13 minutes from Marshall and 13 minutes from Charlotte. We invite you to come and stay with us to see why many of our repeat guests call The Cottage their favorite cozy "home away from home!"

We have been on another vacation rental site for over five years with over 350 5 star reviews! Our historic property, established in 1865, is very unique, as the front of the property is on the Main Street of Olivet - but the back part of the property, where The Cottage is located, abuts to 200 acres of beautiful private wooded land! Many of our guests report that they see lots of wildlife, including deer, racoons and bunnies - and even wild turkeys! They also often comment on hearing the beautiful bird song in the spring and summer months, as well as the crickets chirping in the backyard pond and the gentle sound of our backyard water fountain. So, we are in the city and in the country at the same time!

- Private entrance. The Cottage is in a building totally separate from our home. It is located above our garage, which is used only for storage. No cars go in and out of the garage so it is very quiet and private. The Cottage is accessed by 14 indoor carpeted stairs with a sturdy handrail.

The cottage retreat is simply beautiful. It is furnished with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The hosts were friendly, easy to reach, and accommodating. They provided us with a wine, cheese and crackers basket and above and beyond that, had left us with provisions for breakfast during our stay. We even got to meet their awesome dog. I would definitely recommend this as a great spot to stay to get away and relax that is close everything.

This was really a lovely little apartment. It was nice to see the deer and other critters in the woods looking out the kitchen window. The only downside was it was a little drafty, but it is an older building so that wasn’t surprising. The heat worked great thought despite the really cold weather! The location, apartment decor, the welcome amenities from the owner were all really nice and welcoming. A real home away from home! Thank you!
