L’échappée Belle

Appartement de rêve spacieux et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. La cuisine est très bien équipée et nous avons apprécié les 2 machines à café ainsi que la fontaine à eau. La literie est très confortable. Serviettes de plage fournies. Nous étions seuls sur la plage située juste en face. La piscine et le jardin sont très agréables. Très belle vue. Really friendly reception by Gerald. Apartment is modern and clean. View to ocean is beautiful. Pool is good size and there is lot of furniture available. Drinking water available, no need to carry plastic bottles from market. Even wine cooler was available and you may purchase good quality wine with reasonable price. Quiet apartment as most of time there were only two of us in whole building. Plenty of adapters and mosquito repellent available.

Pool and beach access was really difficult via front yard and many locked doors. Would hope easier access as room did not have own private terrace or balcony. Electric fence created a prison feeling. Bathroom sinks were very high and mirrors also. Wifi did not work in pool area. During a stay, there was one very long electric brake in area. Beach in front of apartment is very shallow, not suitable for swimming but there are good beaches nearby. Thought it was exciting to walk in shallow water long closer to reefs.

This property has a lot of potential. It is well designed, spacious and has a lovely view. The apartment is thoughtfully laid out, with an en-suite bathroom in every room, which is a great advantage, especially for larger groups. It is also well equipped with pretty much everything you could need for a comfortable stay — the only thing we couldn't find was an iron. The space is definitely suitable for more than just a family of four, making it a good option for larger families or groups travelling together.

Unfortunately, cleanliness and maintenance were the main issues during our stay. We found ants in every room of the apartment and also saw cockroaches on the premises. Both the apartment and the surrounding grounds would benefit greatly from a thorough deep clean and much more regular maintenance. At the moment, such a beautiful property feels somewhat neglected, and without proper attention, it will only deteriorate further. The pool, BBQ, a loaf of bread or complimentary drinks are certainly nice extras, but for us, cleanliness and basic hygiene are the most important aspects of a comfortable stay. It is a real shame because the concept, design and space are all very good, and the property has enormous potential. With some proper care, attention and regular maintenance, this could be a truly fantastic place to stay. We hope the owners give the property the attention it deserves, because the foundations are already there for something really special.
