Loved loved loved it all! Wish there were more places like this! Loved the self check in, the gorgeous location on the Mississippi, the attention to detail in the rooms - the bed was uber comfy, the art was perfect, the bathroom was stunning with extra large shower and the incorporation of the old woodwork and windows that made the room soaked in light were wonderful. Plus the snacks in the hall and morning scones and yogurt. Thank you! We wanted to stay a second night but you were full so went to the Charmant. Also lovely - we were on the top floor with a view and patio - but the Hatchery was more stylish and sophisticated. Such soul!
That we couldn't stay a second night. We travel ten months a year and this is a stand out hotel.

Loved the location and walkability to downtown, yet felt good privacy. Pretty setting. Lovely room & bath -- exceptional shower!

The hotel is a beautifully renovated old building, fish hatchery, adjacent to the river and a large riverfront park in La Crosse! Excellent location is also within walking distance of downtown La Crosse with many restaurants and entertainment options. Our room was beautiful with an attractive woven rug over hardwood floors, large windows on three sides with views of the park, river and walled Japanese garden next to the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and cozy on a frigid January night. The bathroom was spacious as was the walk-in shower with beautiful tiled floor and fixtures. The bar/lounge in the hotel had a gorgeous hardwood back and bar top, with exposed brick walls. Coffee right out side the room in the morning (K-cup). Parking in their private lot between the hotel and garden.
Everything was excellent! The bathroom was a little cold but the owners indicated that the floor heating system may not have been working correctly. The room was plenty warm on a night when temps dipped to single digits.
