The Woodmans Hut Minehead

The hut was in a secluded place, its wasnt far from the main house, however you had privacy from the old quaint tree. The view from the hut was picturesque, it was so beautiful to wake up too. The hut had everything you needed and more, tea,coffee,sugar and a pint of milk, we even had fresh bread on arrival. I had so much fun and enjoyment building fires, for the hot tub, bbq, wood burner and inside the hut is a woodburner. The hot tub took a few hours to achieve streaming temperature however if you were bbq at the same time you didn't notices the hours would definitely recommend this stay for a peaceful relaxing stay, everything you need is a 6min drive away, the sea front and restaurants and even the big food shopping chain. If you are into drawing, dont forget to take art supplies. In the morning we had visits from the horses, they were friendly and let me pet them. If I could bottle up this experience and bring it home I would.

On arrival the road up to the hut was daunting, and very steep, however after doing it a few times, I enjoyed it, we also notices the views were amazing.

Perfect location, hut had everything you needed, bed was really comfortable, stunning views, hot tub is a great addition takes about 3 hours to heat up.

There's wasn't anything we didn't like

Very cosy and nice views

Some reviews indicate that the hot tub was pre-warmed for their arrival, but this was not the case for us. I don't necessarily mind that, but there were no instructions provided on how to use a wood-fired hot tub, so it took me a long time and a lot of wasted wood to finally get it going.

Exactly as the photos, this is the best shepherd’s hut we’ve stayed in. The log burner was so nice, the design and style was perfect. The wood fired hot tub is heaven and the view is great. We especially liked the covered terrace. The hosts are also brilliant, so helpful and good communication.
