The catastrophic bathroom ruined the stay: a lack of care about basics of living.
The location is marvellous. The furnishings are fine.
The shower and bath don’t work. The shower is a dribble and either freezing cold or scolding hot (we all persisted for ages), and the bath is a lukewarm dribble, so you CANNOT BATHE in any way; and the toilet doesn’t flush well. And we had to clean the bath and toilet. Overall, the bathroom was a disaster. And there was bird poo on the patio, and kitchen cabinets falling off their hinges too, and wallpaper peeling. And few things provided that are standard elsewhere, like body soap, shampoo or a little milk in the fridge. It’s a small village. If you arrive on a Sunday, you couldn’t buy anything. For that amount of money, I expected more.

Great spot, but loud church bells all night long!
The location is great - the river on the backside of the house is awesome! Quaint 3 story unit with a spiral staircase and wood burning stove. The washer/dryer unit came in handy.
The church bells ring all night every 15 minutes - the church is nearby so it is loud. Not a big deal, but they did not provide shower soap, shampoo or dish soap.

An awesome, quirky cottage with three levels. The cottage doors open onto the river and church and the views are amazing. Good facilities, comfortable and homely.

Lovely cottage close to river.
Lovely cottage in the centre of Hayfield. Close to walks, pubs and bus station. Beautiful shallow river literally on the back doorstep.

Prachtige locatie en cottage. De ligging was ook prima voor hikes en bezoeken steden. We hebben genoten en hadden best langer willen blijven!
