Villa Nala Canggu by Sandara

Tout était super.

The place is ok, but nothing special. The main issue is actually finding it. The address on Google Maps does not lead you to the property, there is no reception, and from the outside it is just a building with no clear entrance. If you don’t already know exactly where it is, it’s extremely difficult to find. The villa itself is fine, but compared to other pool villas we’ve stayed in across Indonesia, this was the least charming and least well maintained. The shower really needs fixing: the rain shower sprays water everywhere except straight down. On the positive side, the air conditioning works well, and the water dispenser is a nice touch. Overall, the place is ok but nothing memorable. The biggest issue is communication and customer relations, which really need significant improvement.

We were in contact with the property a few days before arrival and were told that check-in was at 2 pm, but that we could come earlier to store our luggage. When we arrived, however, there was no one there. After wandering around, we ended up at a nearby café trying to contact the property via WhatsApp, but we didn’t receive any response until much later. Eventually two men came to the cafe where we were waiting and we took a taxi together with one of them to the property. We paid fronter taxi. Check-out was also poorly managed. You are asked to inform the property in advance so they can come to collect the key and check the villa. We messaged at 10 am to say we wanted to check out at 11, but received no reply. At 11:15 I called, and only then was I told we could just leave the key inside and go.

We enjoyed our room and our pool. We loved the location and how clean it was. We would deffinately come back !
