While the Airbnb house was modern, had a nice backyard with activities, and a convenient location to Joshua Tree National Park, we were quite disappointed in our stay and did not feel that the high price reflected the quality of our experience.
1. Upon arriving at the house past the checkin time, the house was not ready and maintenance and cleaners were still there. We were not given a heads up that the house was not ready yet and were also told by the handyman on site that the oven and dishwasher were broken. The dishwasher was eventually fixed. 2. The amenities were not up to par. The induction stove had a large crack on it and was difficult to operate. The oven door was almost detached from the frame (dangerous) and was not operable. The side tables in one of the rooms was damaged. The outdoor bbq system was very old, did not have an even flame, and could not get above 200F. Along with the broken oven, this made cooking very challenging. None of these issues were communicated by the host ahead of time and when messaged they seemed to be unaware of the situation.
