Villa Petronilla sul mare

The house and the location were excellent. The house is spacious and lovely inside and out. The location is peaceful, yet only a short and easy stroll to town where all the restaurants are. Savelletri town is lovely. The house is nearby to a little swimming area (stones) that was easy to have a cool down at the end of the day. The beach clubs and free beach of Capitolo were only a short 5 min drive away. Many of the hilltop tourism spots were only a 30 min drive away, so it was a very convenient spot. There was not parking on the property, but a few metres down the road, there was a free parking area that there were always spots. The covered outdoor entertaining area was spacious and lovely.There was also a little balcony at the entrance, where we would sit and have our drinks of the evening. The host Oliviero was excellent and a lovely man. You couldn't find a better host. He was very accommodating and also helped us out with a few things when we were there. He met us at the property on arrival. He lives down stairs in an apartment, and this was handy when we had questions. He lent us umbrellas for the beach,and left us some lovely prosecco and wine. Would love to come back.

As others have mentioned previously in their reviews, the air-conditioning could have been set at a lower temperature, as often the house was hot. A microwave would have been handy.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Petronilla sul Mare. The location is perfect—right by the sea, within walking distance of many excellent restaurants, and surrounded by the charming village atmosphere of Savelletri. We felt safe throughout our entire stay, which made it even more relaxing and enjoyable. Savelletri is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful towns and villages throughout the region, and the villa's location is also perfect for day trips to the stunning beaches along the Adriatic coast. Whether you're looking to discover picturesque villages, enjoy local cuisine, or spend the day by the sea, everything is within easy reach. The house itself is excellent. It is incredibly well ventilated, and despite visiting during the heat of July, we hardly needed to use the air conditioning. Simply opening the windows allowed a refreshing sea breeze to flow through the house, keeping it pleasantly cool and comfortable. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations, and we would happily return. Un soggiorno indimenticabile, ci siamo sentiti davvero come a casa. Grazie di cuore!

If we had to mention one small drawback, it would be that the air conditioning doesn't cool the rooms to very low temperatures. Guests who prefer a very cold bedroom, especially at night, may find the house warmer than they would like. That said, this wasn't an issue for us, as the natural sea breeze and excellent ventilation kept the house comfortable throughout our stay.

The location was excellent, next to a small cove for daily swimming and walking distance to all the restaurants. The villa was clean and spacious with plenty of outside space. The beds were super comfy and the shutters were brilliant. Oliverio was a great host who was in the apartment below so on hand for anything we needed.
