The property is located within the Pinnacle Point Beach and Golf Resort which offers safety given the neaby location of an informal settlement at the junction with the main road to the resort. The resort's club house has great views, lovely staff and a good menu.
The property is Pinancle Lodge 108, not 1089. Instructions to access the property weren't sent in advance - this is the first time I've experienced this with Booking.com. Details in the confirmation email on how to access the property are completely wrong, e.g. "Getting into the property: Someone will meet you on location. Our caretaker will meet you at the property with keys and check you in". We arrived at the resort's main reception where you have to "check in" but they had no record of us. Fortunately, the person on duty tracked down the lodge owner. His instructions to find the lockbox (with keys inside) were unclear. Be aware: There is no front door, so you are expected to 'know' that you access the property through the garage. The lockbox is next to the garage door, but I managed to open Lodge 109's lockbox using 108's code. The owner says this is "impossible", but I did it and it was empty. So, several frustrating calls with the owner and his uncompromising attitude later, someone finally came to let us in. FYI, the lodge numbers are small and placed high on external street-side walls. 109's front door doens't have a number on it and is right next door to 108's garage. It's very confusing. The promised sea view is from the 2 bedrooms, one of which has a big balcony with a nice view. So, as long as you are happy to traipse through the main bedroom to sit and enjoy the view, you'll be fine. Similarly, you'll be fine if you're happy with numerous decorative crosses and related framed quotes. I find this level of personalisation too much.
