Good place to stay in South Bali

We liked the upstairs unit with spacious room and great view. The restaurant downstairs (The Joy) was lovely and the couple who are running the restaurant were super helpful & nice!

It’s hard to understand the arrangement (i.e. the restaurant and guest house is ran separately, the house connected to the guest house is NOT the owner’s house, etc.). There were few things that indicated the maintenance is not great (the electricity credit ran out while we were there… and we had to find the caretaker. The battery for AC remote was out. etc.).

Could use a water dispenser for guests, so we don’t have to buy bottles everyday. Air con wasn’t cold enough in the blazing heat, didn’t work well.

Nice stay at Bukawa

When we first arrived, we were welcomed by Arthur, a really nice guy with whom we had a chat on different topics! The owners of the Cafè The Joy, downstairs, are really special and the food is very good! The room was quite small, but we stayed only 2 nights so we made do. The bathroom was big and clean (one of the best we found in Guesthouses). The balcony was spacious and full of plants (that we loved), but it was in common with others (so not much privacy if you need it). The sun rises from the balcony, so it was beautiful to wake up like this. Overall good experience.

The pillows were too high and not very comfortable. The curtains were thin and the door to the balcony was a bit worn out, so a lot of light and sound could pass (I used earplugs and sleeping mask and it was alright).

The lodge is a highly recommendable place to stay

The 5-pax room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, giving a real home-like feel. The Wi-Fi connection was strong and reliable, making the stay even more convenient. Food was easy to find with the café on the ground floor serving tasty meals at very affordable prices. Although the rooms are accessible via a staircase, the staff and manager were very helpful in assisting with our luggage, which made everything very convenient. The lodge’s location is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxation. Our stay at Bukawa Lodge was made even more memorable thanks to Arthur, who was extremely helpful and friendly throughout. On our checkout day, things became hectic as heavy rain for two days had caused flooding, and our transport couldn’t reach the lodge. Arthur went above and beyond by helping us book a taxi, ensuring we reached the airport safely and on time. The lodge itself is a highly recommendable place to stay – the rooms are spacious, clean, calm, and comfortable, with a peaceful environment. Prices are very affordable, truly worth every cent. The cost of food and other necessities in the surrounding area is much cheaper compared to staying in Kuta. I have no regrets staying here and would gladly return again. A truly wonderful place worth coming back to again!

Great Accomodation and helpful People

Very good welcome, and I left my items from morning to night. because I had to go to my friend's place who I hadn't seen for a long time. But the owner was very helpful... even though I checked in late, he was very responsive in helping me. Thank you for everything

I regret couldn't try their food in the restaurant... The Culinary is one reason why I come to Bali.. really sorry cause has been busy with friend

A very confortable room with everything you need. The staff come to give water and clean the room everyday, very kind. Very value for money.

It is only not important small thing, there are little bit noise due to the road next to the room.

Great place to stay

The place is really cozy and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. Even though the hotel is near a small, but busy road, the soundproofing works well—we didn’t hear much noise at all. There's a lovely café on the first floor with amazing owners, definitely a huge bonus. Overall, the place was better than I expected and totally worth the price.

The only downside was that all bedsheets had a damp, humid smell

Great place!

This hotel was simply amazing. The room was beautiful and spacious, had everything we needed. Towels, some toiletries, cutlery and plates, hairdryer and a fridge. The staff are very kind, took us to our to our room right when we arrived and showed us the property. There's a restaurant on site that seems good but the day we arrived unfortunately was closed, but there's a warung right in front of the hotel which is very affordable and tasty. There's also a laundry 1 block away. Very nice, would recommend 100%.

A great choice for budget travelers looking for a spacious room, scenic view & near airport

The rental fee is very affordable, yet it includes nearly everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is also a plus—it's near the airport, and there’s a mini-mart within walking distance for any essentials. One of the best parts of the stay was the balcony view. Watching the sunrise over the mountain was truly breathtaking. The room itself is huge, providing plenty of space to relax. Additionally, the host was very friendly and responsive, making the stay even more pleasant.

If you're booking the family room on the top floor, do consider that it might not be suitable for elderly guests who have difficulty climbing stairs, as there’s no elevator, and you’ll need to go up to the 4th floor. In the afternoon, the room does get a bit warm due to its position at the top, but it cools down at night, so it wasn’t a major issue.

The room was very cozy and the staff was great. I like the view from the balcony. It gives a very homey feeling. I also appreciate that they have a restaurant that serves really good and authentic Indonesian food. They clean the room every day too.

C'est un endroit calme pas très loin de l'aéroport et un peu retiré du tourisme. Très pratique car les propriétaires font aussi de la restauration sur place. Et c'est excellent ! Personnes adorables avec qui il a été agréable de discuter. En espérant vous revoir !

La amabilidad del personal, la cama es comoda, la ducha tiene buena presion y sale constantemente caliente (cosa rara en Asia) La ciudad es tranquila pero esta alejada. La heladera enfria perfecto!

No tiene velador ni TV, las sabanas estaban limpias pero no tenian buen olor! Las cortinas muy claritas entra el sol durante a mañana!
