The villa itself is beautiful, with opulent décor, stunning gardens, and a perfect outdoor space for the Spanish weather. Noctua Estates were excellent with communication before arrival and kept in touch throughout our long journey to Spain, which was appreciated. However, for a stay costing close to €5000 for 10 nights, we were disappointed by the lack of basic hospitality and amenities. Arriving late at night with an 8-month-old baby, there were no clear instructions for appliances inside the villa, no local recommendations, or essentials provided — not even bottled water, milk, or sugar for the coffee pods left out. Supplies were extremely limited, with only one towel per guest. We were also surprised to learn that no cleaning, towel refresh, or spare bedding was included unless paid for separately - you are expected to use the same towel and bedding for your entire stay. While the villa itself felt luxurious, the overall experience did not. Having to buy cleaning supplies and wash towels and bedding during a luxury holiday took away from the ability to fully relax and enjoy the stay. Although Noctua were always responsive and very polite when contacted (they did bring us milk and sugar the following morning) there seemed to be an extra charge attached to most requests. The location itself whilst pretty is not ideal for young families as you have to drive absolutely everywhere, there are no pavements only roads and very very steep hills making it impossible to walk anywhere especially with a Pushchair and there are no shops/restaurants close enough to even attempt to. Overall, we wouldn’t book in this stay again, as we felt the service and attention to detail did not match the premium price point.
