Pet Friendly 2BR in Little Italy # 3

Walkking distance to the heart of little Italy. A cute , quiet nighborhood.

The street was under construction and the parking was street parking. This was not a problem for us but I would have liked to have know about this earlier in the confirmation process.

the location was perfect for what we needed. walkable to great food/treats and about a 15 minute drive to downtown attractions. plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen. check in communication was great.

inadequate lighting in the kitchen if we were cooking after dark, towel bar in the bathroom was falling out of the wall, the wallpaper in the bedroom was peeling from the ceiling down 1/4 of the wall above the bed, overall the furniture was just okay. the kitchen table was unstable as well as the chairs. we only used one bedroom but the mattress was not comfortable. we also encountered a parking issue immediately upon arrival. the street was marked as no street parking from 7am-5pm. all the nearby parking is 1-2 hours max or pay lots. we did message the host and they suggested parking off street but again these are 1-2 spots or paid. they said they were unaware of any construction happening but we spoke with neighbors who said it had been going on for at least 2 months, this feels like information a host should have and an alternative to paid parking should have been offered. overall, it was fine for what we needed/paid but we would not stay here again.

Location, price

The road was under construction, major! I realize this was nothing the owners could control, however, I would have appreciated a heads up. My car was covered w dirt, the road was closed off the day I let, w no notice!

The beds were comfortable. There was only street parking but we were able to park nearly in front of the building each time. The unit was fairly spacious for two bedrooms. The location was very walkable and we enjoyed walking through the Lake View Cemetery and to coffee in the mornings. Also walkable to museums (about a mile) and restaurants. Some people warned of the proximity to "east Cleveland" but we didn't have any incidents although we didn't walk around after dark. Owner was responsive and polite. I hope the issues mentioned will be addressed but otherwise I must be honest that I would not stay again or recommend.

I wasn't aware there would be such steep stairs to the unit and it wasn't clean. My dog struggled to get up and down and because I was traveling cross country, I had a lot to carry up the stairs to get out of my car. The unit was not clean. The floors were very dirty and the kitchen had what looked like blood splatter on parts of the floor. There was a lot of hair in the shower. A light bulb was out. The owner sent the cleaning person over to reclean which was nice, however for me the damage has already been done when I see such blatant and obvious signs of uncleanliness. They didn't put out a new sponge so there was only a dirty used kitchen sponge to use, and everything felt a little dirty. Windows were dirty and extremely dusty when I went to open them. Pots and pans were not clean. I washed everything before using (had my own sponge from camping).
