The room: It's very spacious with two king beds and large spaces in between, with two separate toilets & bathrooms, beautiful modern marble flooring, and a beautiful private jacuzzi with a sea view. The room can fit 4 people easily. The location: It's located in the middle of the main shopping street, right beside the designated taxi drop off spot (all taxi in the city centre has to drop off at the exact spot), so the location is exceptional, greater than any 5* hotels. As the room is on the lower ground floor facing the ocean, you won't hear any noise from the main street. The cafe at the hotel also sells very delicious lemon sorbet (€7) and is cheaper (€8-10) than any cafe nearby. I'd highly recommend staying there and am happy to return!

The only downside was the check-in, as they don't have a reception, so they kept our luggage in the narrow corridor in their restaurant on the ground floor while waiting for the room to be ready. It was a bit inconvenient and embarrassing to open our suitcases inside the restaurant to get our belongings before check-in, when everybody walked past and queued for the bathroom.

Very central location to Caprì, you literally step out of the front door and you’re on one of the main streets. Free pastry & coffee in the morning was a nice touch considering it’s not included in the booking. Very modern / huge bedroom overlooking the sea, with 2 showers / toilets and multiple divider areas to the room.

The smell - there was a seriously bad smell in our room of damp / mould & made the place feel dirty even if it was clean. I can only describe it as smelling of a musty church (to the point where we aired the room out for a couple of hours whilst we got ready). You enter through the back door of a restaurant through bins & rubbish which isn’t pleasant, with flies around. The front garden of our room was not finished, workmen arriving early to complete the hot tub / garden area which is poor for paying guests. The sea view is blocked by a hedge so you have to leave the gate to see it. Aircon didn’t work but to be fair to the staff they fixed it within 2hrs.
