Perfect location in the heart of Wissant. The apartment is right next to the central market square and the historic centre, with restaurants and the supermarket within easy walking distance. The beach is also just a two-minute walk away. The apartment has a lovely shared garden, a private terrace and its own private parking space. The view from the garden has a wonderfully authentic French atmosphere, overlooking historic houses and the picturesque ruins of an old villa — a particularly charming setting. The apartment itself was of a very good standard for a holiday home and was well equipped, including a Smart TV and dishwasher. It was also nice and clean. There was a little bit of sand here and there, but in a seaside village like Wissant, where sand and salty sea air are simply part of the surroundings, we did not find this noteworthy at all. The owners were very kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We were actually quite surprised by some of the previous reviews suggesting otherwise, as our experience was entirely different. Perhaps, as is often the case, communication style and the way people approach one another can make quite a difference. Overall, a charming and very well-located place to stay, with everything you need within walking distance and plenty of genuine Wissant character.

Not much, really. The stairs are quite steep, which may be something to keep in mind for older guests or anyone with limited mobility. A few small details showed some wear, such as a broken tile in the bathroom and the shower-head holder, but nothing that significantly affected our stay. The apartment can also be a little difficult to find at first. You need to walk slightly uphill to reach the garden gate, so the entrance is not immediately obvious.

Nous n'avions pas de petit déj. L'endroit est très joli et proche de tout.

Difficulté de trouver l endroit, pas de nom, pas de numéro, le nom de la rue à changé. Et j'ai osé déranger le propriétaire (chose à ne pas faire)

Nette Unterkunft, Sauberkeit und Ausstattung war okay. Insgesamt gibt es einige Kleinigkeiten zu reparieren. Die Lage ist super. Der Garten ist toll, vor allem für Kinder. Die Info, dass man sich den Garten mit insgesamt 5 anderen Parteien teilt, finde ich aber schon relevant! War für uns kein Problem, ich wüsste es aber dennoch gerne bei der Buchung.

Leider war die Kommunikation eine Katastrophe. Ich habe bei Anreise nach einem zusätzlichen Bettdeckenbezug gefragt und wo denn der (fehlende) Hochstuhl sei. Es wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass es keinen Hochstuhl gäbe und dass sie nun davon ausgehen würden, dass wir verbotenerweise mit mehr als 4 Personen in dem Apartment wohnen würden und das nun booking melden wollten. Es sei jemand vorbeigekommen und die Unordnung am Apartment würde dies bestätigen. Und es gäbe ja keine andere Erklärung für den Wunsch nach einer dritten Bettdecke (bei 4 Personen). Unglaublich unangenehm!! Ein klärendes Telefonat mit dem (vermutlichen?) Chef war zwar hilfreich und wir hatten dann am 4. Tag immerhin einen zusätzlichen Bettdeckenbezug. Einen Hochstuhl bekamen wir dann nach 6 Tagen von Nachbarn, die ihren in ihrem Apartment nicht brauchten… Nach dem ebenfalls nicht vorhandenen Whirlpool, habe ich schon gar nicht mehr gefragt… Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt insgesamt leider gar nicht.
